The German was named January's manager of the month on Tuesday, which he described as "a little prize on the road to hopefully bigger prizes".

However, what means more to Rohl is the evolution of his side in big matches, the latest of which comes at Motherwell on Wednesday.

"A couple of weeks ago maybe we were a little bit too respectful, too fearful, too scared for such a game," Rohl said.

"Now we're looking forward to it.

"We have to deliver again and again. If we do this, then we have a great opportunity to make the next small step on our journey.

"The mindset is always to go for a win instead of a draw because then you are not fearful or too respectful.

"I want to see a team who goes with courage on the pitch and is always ready to score goals."

I don't want this kind of manager at THFC. I remember what happened last season.. :D

Will be between him and the Middlesbrough coach Hellman (think that’s his name) to get the Brighton job next

Im going to repeat myself but when I did some work for the club a few years ago. It was the thing that struck me. The place IS NOT full of people like us. Its not full of Nutters and Mrs P who can recall every squad player, and away kit. There's lots of corporate types who like the prestige of a role at an EPL club but woukd feel the same way about working for Villa. Or Eli Lillly or B.o.a.c.

Just having Ledley or Daws about the place is not a commitment to our history and traditions in fact I felt like they were tokens to reassure the punters. The massive plus with Poch and Perez is they genuinely are emotionally involved before them David Pleat was the last football professional who felt Spurs was a special thing. Get Poch back then get a Mitchell or Freeman to lead scouting and recruitment and start a coaching pathway for former Spurs players.
I'm guilty of overlooking this.

Where are the football guys in the club? People who don't just understand football but Tottenham too. They are badly needed. I think even someone like Ramon Vega could be useful, IIRC he isn't doing too badly in the business world and does seem to still care what's going on here.

Doesn't have to be Vega but you get the point.

Levy was that person, and they got rid of him.
