I know our fans get arsey about how Conte and Mourinho made it look like a favour coming to Spurs, but it was.
Sorry.
It was.
Conte especially, could have walked into almost any established club in the world and still can.
I also think the behaviour of acting like he can do better is very deliberate to try to get what he wants.
That was the time to go balls deep. Back him to the absolute hilt. Should had him in the room with the likes of Bastoni. Either he makes it happen, or he sees first hand that it was hard to do.
Instead we lump him with fucking Lenglet on loan, Spence who wasn't going to play, 87 year old Forster, Romero who he already had, and then blew the best part of £100m on Bissouma and Richarlison.
We did him dirty like we do everyone.
He should have been begged to drag us up to his level.
Well, he had Matt Doherty. What more could he want?

Whoever it is needs to come in now. Not the summer.

If it’s to be Poch, shows us you want it. No more USA, be here tomorrow first thing.

We need to see the passion, the need to be involved immediately.
I still think that Pochettino has some of the juice left.. It started to look as though a team may have been coming together towards the end at Chelsea. And he is ultimately the manager that I want. Maybe thats emotion talking, I don't know.

But the fact is, he's not at a point in his career where he's a guy that you wait 5 months for anymore. The fact that he had to run off to international football to coach a team that isn't winning the world cup would indicate that.. We can't afford to put the club into stasis to wait for him.. Interims can be a dangerous game. For every example of them working, there's an example of it being a disaster. I think you have to if possible go forward with intent and purpose.

So if that means that us and Pochettino have to be ships in the night and he's never here again. then so be it.

there’s a) a ludicrous buyout clause, b) a guaranteed firestorm from their side all the way up to maybe even the presidential level, and c) the fact that Pochettino is no longer a good manager anyways.

It could end very badly.
I’m not sure he’d be the right guy either, as I’m at the point of wanting almost anyone after the last several months of torture. Just using him as an example of a manager who may wish to wait until summer as it suits him, when we need someone to come in now.

Ok, who actually checked whether the orange moron had really posted that?! 🤔

Scary thing is you could really see it happening!

Harry Redknapp did more for this club than Postecoglou will ever dream of laying claim to
Don't bother, you're talking to the biggest Ange dickrider on the forum.

Anyway, it is nice to see that the club sacked Frank without any contingency plan if they've sent the players on holiday. The De Zerbi timing is really suspicious, but I think it's probably just a coincidence.

Add this one to the list Simone Inzaghi. He plays a combination of Conte, Ange and Poch Ball. His philosophy is that every player must be able to do every job. If you look at our squad, most have a potential of doing that. Our Youngsters like Gray, Bergvall, Spence, Udogie, Xavi ,VDV, Vaskovic and Romero have proven they can defend, pass and score. Our STR like Richie, Solanke and Scarlett have shown they have reasonable ball skills. In the midfield, Palhinha, Simmons and Kulu (When fit) have shown they are able to play anywhere

Inzaghi is the best fit for the players we have. We'd only need 1 or 2 midfielders extra that can attack, defend and pass a ball. A few of the other youngsters on loan have shown they can fit that gap.

We know ENIC won't invest, so get a manager to fit the misfits we have.

The rose tinted glasses from some of you... fackin hell. Redknapp would be about as useful as David pleat taking charge
It's at this point I'm glad a gooner is in charge as he won't think back fondly to a 12 to 18 month period back in the old testament days

Fair. It’s rare that a club our size is in our situation at this point of the season. We might have to do that untypical thing.
The problem I see with getting a permanent replacement now is we won’t ultimately get who we want, as most decent managers won’t leave a team this close to the end of the season.

I think most clubs in our situation would appoint an interim.

Everyone is available if they want to come and we want to pay.

I’m just not comfortable with “yes, I’ll come in the summer, where I get a fresh start, but I’m not that bothered about helping you out of the shitstorm you are in presently”.

Nah, show us you want this. For £8m-£10m a year, there should be a line of managers crawling over broken glass to come here.

I might be wrong but I'd be surprised if the likes of Iraola and Silva would leave their clubs halfway through the season. Particularly when the risk of relegation is so high. Unless they include insane bonuses for keeping us up.

It's a right old mess isn't it.
