I think we can rule Mason out.

With Levy gone, that tie to Mason isn't really there now. We all know he was Levy's inside man.

And I would be gobsmacked if the board entrusted our PL survival to a rookie coach like that.

The more I think about it, the more I think they'll go for an established coach.

The big dilemma for them right now is, do they take the risk on an interim until the summer to get Poch, but then risk we get relegated.

Or do they appoint the best possible manager they can right now? say a De Zerbi, but then that means no Poch in the summer.

It's a really fucked up situation.

I know its not ideal, but I genuinely think the board need to park the Poch dream. The most important thing is we make it through to the summer as a PL side. And if that means losing Poch so be it. It's not like Poch is guaranteed to to be a success the second time anyway.

Maybe Robbie Keane as an interim, Poch in the summer would be best. But would Keane leave a perm job to come here for 4 months. I can't see it. And even Keane could be a risk. I guess any manager is a risk.

I think even with Frank gone, I only give us a 50/50 chance of staying up now, looking at the state of our injuries and form.

Keane is battling for a 2nd successive league title.

He's surely not going to give up that job in order to have 4 months of this shit show

I'm seeing a lot of people on here seriously considering 78 year old Harry Redknapp.. I like Harry as much as the next man but I'm guessing any authority he still had in the dressing room went out the window when he was crowned King of the Jungle?

The Redknapp stuff is ludicrous.

He was old when back then when he took the job on, it's a different era now. It's several era's later actually.

Bale was a teenager back then when we had Harry. It's literally like 20 years ago. We had Modric ffs.

Even that interview on SSN, I watched it, yeah he looks good for his age but he's now a frail old man, the kids we have nowadays won't know who he is. He's half a century older than them.
If Trump can do it then why not Harry!?
