Tim Sherwood has put his hat in the ring to become Tottenham's new manager - but only on a short-term basis. That's because Sherwood convinced that another ex-Spurs boss, Mauricio Pochettino, will be Thomas Frank's permanent successor.

Barely 12 hours after Tottenham's miserable 2-1 loss at home to Newcastle, the club announced Frank's sacking on Wednesday morning. Spurs have only won two of their last 17 Premier League games, leaving them just five points above the relegation zone.

Now Tottenham are searching to appoint a coach ahead of next Sunday's North London derby against Woolwich. Sherwood, 57, both played for and managed Spurs, and he's open to a return.

"I think there's going to be a shortlist of people they could turn to," the former midfielder told Sky Sports. "I genuinely believe they're going to give it to John Heitinga.

what the fuck is going on ??????????????

I think Marinakis would go for him but I’d be shocked if he chose them over us. He’s already been at that sort of a PL club with Brighton, we’re a much bigger club set up for success infrastructure wise and we have the CL this season still

Another reason why we shouldn’t be going for him. We just had a middle team manager with Frank and now people want this guy. When are fans going to learn?

Was watching a video on YouTube yesterday discussing the Spurs shit show and one part really stood out to me.
"Since Levy left, "who actually does what at Tottenham?"
"Who was it, that woke up this morning and made the decision to sack Thomas Frank?"
"Who now has to decide who the next man is?"

It's actually quite terrifying.

De Zerbi is highly emotional, confrontational and rarely deviates from his brand of football. Do we really need this in the position we are in? Also, I don't really trust ex Brighton managers as it's the system that seems to work (minus their current manager).

The best thing to do is find a motivational and personable interim in and get Poch in the summer. Poch got screwed with lack of investment last time so allow him to conduct the rebuild like he did the first time.
