Stupid by Forest, he had them comfortably mid of the form table since he joined and would probably keep them up.

I'd take Dyche for the rest of the season. (How we have fallen).
I'd not be against that idea, Dyches the sort of manager that knows how to fight and as seen with forest can give a bounce.

Long term I'd say Poch, usually against going back to an "ex" but he's at least trustworthy and can get the team at the very least steadied.

So still no candidate eh?

We are a shambles.

I said in the endless "Surely Franks getting sacked this time..." conversations that the club could be doing all sorts behind the scenes to make the change, and we just arent seeing it, and nor should we

The same applies now, we could be sounding out Poch, De Zerbi, whoever - for all we know we could have someone signed up and they are filming their cringe intro video as we speak...

...although history tells us the board are probably just doing this

It's not the manager who has to fight. It's the players.

These are all international 'stars', not mid table journeymen. They don't have the motivation or qualities to be in a relegation scrap.

I doubt Romero will kick another ball in the prem. It'll be champions league or a nice rest b4 the world cup.

None of these players are Spurs blood. They don't give a shit if Spurs get relegated, they will move to another club and not look back.

Really amazed at so many posts on social media saying I'd give '''random former Spurs player''' a go.

We don't need to give anyone a go, we need to get it right.

I think thats a leading driver for many people here

Its wrong, mostly, we should be making a smart choice - the right choice - not an emotional one

But, also, I totally get it. Ive been vocal in not wanting Poch back, all season, and yet after the High Performance podcast Ive already weakened massively on that stance.

(I still think it would be a mistake, but Id love it)

Being a football fan is an emotional thing, isnt it?

I think too much stock is put in how important the manager is...
Honestly, give me a week with these players and I reckon I could set them up and fill them with confidence to at least give Woolwich something to worry about... the team pretty much picks itself cause we only have 11 fit men and a handful of boys but it's about making those men and boys feel 10 feet tall and making sure they are not beaten before kick off... if one of their players is being a cunt, be a bigger cunt... they have got several players you can easily target for a red... fucking wind them up... tell them you were almost late for the match because you were molesting his sister/mother... they will be feeling the pressure with City breathing down their necks so just got to make them feel uncomfortable on the pitch and ensure the fans make it uncomfortable from the stands...

With trepidation, I think I’d go for Heitinga with Harry in an advisory ā€œrun around a bitā€ man manager role.
It seems clear that it will be Poch after the WC assuming we don’t get relegated (heaven forbid) but we need a character around the place to keep the seat warm for him and someone who has experience of managing a club balancing league and Europe. Whilst survival is the priority, the players have shown they can raise their game for the big nights and every round we could get through at this stage means more money to spend on a Poch rebuild. I don’t think we can write off Europe (nor should a club our size) as it provides positive exposure to possible signings that we aren’t as big a shit show as our league season suggests.
We really are in a bloody mess though and whatever the buffoons decide, it’s fraught with risk.

It's upsetting, but i had also thought Dyche as an interim to keep us up. It'll be ugly, but would sort out if there are any players in our squad with a bit of fight and worth keeping.

The delay in any announcements is beginning to speak volumes.... they have no plan at all. I bet they are sat waiting for the phone to ring.

Again, not one who would be willing, IMO

(and Id hate him to do it too)

Managers are egos, especially established ones. Dyche's ego would never allow him to be a caretaker for 12 games.
Agree with both points, however these players haven't show much fight for various managers in various league positions (except EL final), if anyone is capable of getting them too it's probably Dyche or similar but I don't know who is available (not my job!).

The club need to ask themselves how much they want to stay up, or rather how much they're prepared to lose if we go down. Are they prepared to pay Dyche (in this case) 10 -15 mil for a doz matches?

Further to the players, a quick count from me I want 13 gone (plus VdV if he wants out), some for attitude which needs addressed with the biggest urgency with lack of talent and sick bay residents to follow. A hell of a long job realistically.
