He tried to do something and move the ball forwards. There were long stages in the game when the ball was stuck around our penalty box and then would just be dealt with in a little sideways triangle for a while allowing the press to come in.

Yeah and if he cost double that i still wouldnt of expected much with how we set up and our non existent build up today. He was playing up front and all we did was smash long balls forward for him to battle with defenders twice his size. And still he was the only one even trying to make something happen with basicallly no support
And every single player bar maybe muani was a LOT worse.
I remember people saying that about Eriksen for a long time to be fair.
I ran more than him today and I never left the house. He obv has the tekkers going forward but you cannot carry passengers in the premier league, never mind a north london derby. Both him and Spence downed tools on several occasions today, throwing their hands in the air and jogging back without a care in the world. I do feel a bit for them, but as Roy Keane would say "it's your job" so go out there and at least do the basics, if you can't do it in a game against your biggest rivals then when can you.

But to be honest, I don’t know how anyone in the position he was in could do much better. This system looked like complete shit. Anytime we had the opportunity to attack, we were 2 on 7. RKM the only pass option and he is being marked by two CB.
All that seemed on the entire match was something into feet for RKM, slowing things down for reinforcements (and get dispossessed) or try to win a throw in so we can push up.

He just felt like he played with his head down and gave up. Understand but he wasn’t good today at all.

Still doesn't excuse his total lack of fight in duels and no tracking back.
Let's cut him a bit of slack, the whole team behind him was diabolical so it's difficult to force something all by yourself.
He was not at his best ... But fuck me he had no support from anyone......in a sea of utter gross, he and Muani were the least shit.
Why does no one run off the ball or show for their team mates when they constantly get surrounded by three opposition players.......it's like they're all selfish twats who expect everyone to do it in there own.
And this is in defence as much as attack.
No one is helping each other out, which is why we constantly lose the ball as the only passes available are high risk ones with a high probability of a turnover.
Palhinha was completely anonymous today as was Sarr.
Gallagher was only evident in being on the pitch because he was absolutely rubbish......but the others just hid.
Gray was ok, but I really wish he'd stop fucking apologising every time he tackles it fouls someone. Don't apologise - who gives a fuck.

Pal did one great tackle that I remember. Xavi all too often goes on a run, there's a pass on, but decides to run into a defender and fall over instead. Am I imagining this? I feel like he does it all the time
so often he just takes too many touches. then stands there doing the teapot as if he deserves a free kick.
For someone who's supposed to be a good passer we've not seen much. FFS against Spam he destroyed a one on one with a pass so bad that I could have done better.
