This has been happening for too long to be a coincidence.

Every time a transfer window comes no matter who the manager is we buy teenagers that we hope to sell on later or players out of the bargain bucket who can't hack it with ambitious clubs. We've got all the money in the world and glaring needs, yet we only shop in the reduced section

Every manager claims they are happy with their squad and what else are they going to say? "Whole squad's a myth, Mr. Reporter, waste men all of them. Relegation fodder to be sure"

No one can ignore the fact that we've never made a serious attempt to create a complete squad that matches our supposed stature. We are not willing to spend the way the Scouse have done due to the risk it might not work. Well this time it didn't work for them, but who would we rather be today?

We've seen how the risk/reward calculation works out with bargain bucket settings, not only have they not ever truly tried to win, they've now cocked up the "let's just be mid-table and send the renewals around early" method and we're hanging by a thread

Any individual year a person could say 'well who could they really have gotten' but over two decades there's a lot of shit could have been done that wasn't. Always the same story
 
The club has is in this situation, they underinvested, concentrated too much on cheaper youth projects than ready made players, kept Frank on too long and in general made a balls of the footballing side of the club.
In saying all that we are where we are and the team are the only ones that can get us out of this mess. And that is where the concerns grow, many look like they do not have the resolve or the fight required, Dragusin at centre half is like playing Stevie Wonder there and too many of our players just do not work hard enough for the battle ahead.
Seriously concerned, we probably have a better set of players on paper , even allowing for injuries , than others do, but we have a coach who never managed in the premier league before and too many players happy to coast along and hope for the best, rather than get stuck in and fight for it.

It's alright guys! I was told that getting rid of Frank would fix everything and that we would get a new manager bounce....It was Frankball that was holding us back, nothing at all to do with the fact that the players are spineless and shit.

Seriously this club deserves to be relegated.

We shouldn't even claim to have a rivalry with the likes of Woolwich and Chelsea because we are just embarrassing ourselves how easy they make it look to spank us black and blue. We should concede that there is no rivalry and fuck off quietly to the championship.

I didn't see ONE NLD derby tackle today, Not ONE.

It was gutless, No fight, No heart. No football IQ.

And lets be real this Woolwich team isn't all that, Even if they win the league (and I still make City favourites) they are on track to win the title with less points than Leicester did. They are a spicy Stoke but they still won't have had an easier two games this season than against us.

They are there to be got at it, but we didn't even lay a glove on them.

I guess its all Ange or Frank's fault though right?

At least with Frank we might have kept the scoreline respectable!

I warned you at the time be careful what you wish for, and now I can see us going down, and tbh the owners deserve it. And I don't think I would even be that upset as it will mean tearing everything up and starting again which is what we need.

I can't stand 95% of these players.

So fucking livid. We didn't compete at all. The Gyokeres second goal where he man handled Gray like a man against a boy was basically the entire 90+ minutes encapsulated in one move.

I'm going to be angry all fucking week

I think it might spell bankruptcy for them if they go down. But this IS what all of this ENIC venture capitalist ownership has been leading to - gaslighting fans aka marketing keeping them as stooges year and after trying to wing Premier League status with the minimum investment. Going after 18 year olds while others go for quality. After the fourth went in and Woolwich's players were walking back to the halfway I was focusing on the names of their back and thinking of who they have bought and who we have bought over the last couple of years - the embarrassing small trader Levy mentality thinking that would cut it in the Premier League! Remember when he thought he could keep everyone clapping like seals with the "I want to win the Premier League"? Another ploy in an increasingly empty box of tricks to keep everyone paying with no intention to win the league. And this is the result.

The way I see it, Levy prob wasn't even the one deciding not to spend- it was most likely the Lewis family the entire time. Of course Levy was a penny pinching thief in other ways, but certainly it doesn't seem like there has been any real change of situation since his departure.

It reminds of the home game (forget against who) when a player pushed Romero in the back and scored and the goal was given. The difference is Romero was pushed, Gabriel dived.
