Bollocks to that.... Imagine Monday when we've lost 4 in a row and had a battering at Fulham... THAT sets us up nicely for the Palace game, doesn't it?

ALL these upcoming games are ones we focus on, cos LIVERPOOL is where we'll get our annual hiding... That's already set in stone on the calender!!

As many points on the board as SOON as possible. That's it. No time for accepting we'll get battered by Fulham, cos with Liverpool Chelsea and Villa away to come, our 'additional points worth of GD' will evaporate.

Win the ones we SHOULD AND CAN win, and don't fret about the others!

That said, if we CAN'T beat at least 4 of Fulham, Palace, Forest, Wolves, Sunderland, Brighton, Wolves or Everton between now and May, turn we really DO deserve to go down!

Most of our final 11 fixtures have been VERY kind....
Liverpool Chelsea and Villa away are yet free hits!

100%

Points on the board asap. Imagine we win the next two. It probably puts the relegation talk in the media to bed. They’re a problem, which will grow louder and louder the longest this goes on. They’re relishing it so we need to nip it in the bud asap.

Next 2 games (caps are home games)

Leeds - CITY and SUNDERLAND
Spurs - Fulham and PALACE
Forest - Brighton and City (Fenerbahce tonight)
West Ham - Liverpool and Fulham

If I apply current betting odds to outcome

Leeds - 3 points taking them to 34
Spurs - 3 points taking us to 32 points
Forest - 0 points leaving them on 27
West Ham - 0 points leaving them on 25

Now we know bookies are pretty much always wrong so I am sure there will be an upset or two. West Ham's last point at Anfield was 2016 but worryingly they have a pretty decent record at the Cottage. I still think it's is us or West Ham. If we can stretch the lead to 7 points after the next 2 rounds of fixtures I will feel much more comfortable with us heading to Anfield.

Every club has won at least one game in the last 6 matches except mighty Spurs and wolves accumulating only 2 pts from 2 draws. What a record!

The worst nightmare scenario we're relegated and woolwich win the league by 1 point from city. Handing title to adversary and going down.

I think we’re at that point where we need to be selective with games - not least due to our injury issues.

I would rest many against Fulham, take the flogging and then go full pelt at Palace. Then do the same with Liverpool (rest) and Forest (full pelt).

If we can take 6 points from that run then it’s a win and a draw needed in the final 7 matches to ensure we crawl over the line - as bad as we are, I think we can get that.

My worry is we will go full pet at Fulham, lose 2-1 and pick up a couple of injuries, then draw with Palace whilst West Ham lose to Liverpool and beat Fulham
We absolutely need to go full pelt at Fulham. You never know what is going to happen at some future date. Suppose we adopt your strategy, drop the chance of a point, or three, and then get a player sent off vs Palace.

You have to try 100pc in the next game. Every game. Possibly some rotation when we are losing to Liverpool (say) makes sense. But that's about it.

What about the 20 seasons before though? Average position in the 90s must be shocking.

The DonDaniel Levy turned us into a Top 5 club didn’t he.

The hero we never knew existed.

One day the penny will drop!

What is so scary about Fulham?

We are in no position to bin off the match against them.

When they beat us at home, we gifted them 2 of the easiest goals you will ever see in the first 5 minutes. They held on for a 2-1 win but showed absolutely nothing after those 2 shocking goals.

I still think Fulham is better than us at the moment (we have zero fit wingers, will be starting Radu Dragusin, and have no passers) but you’re spot on about not being able to bin off anything. We’re in a relegation battle, every single point should be viewed with the utmost value. We need to approach every match as if it’s a Cup Final in terms of intensity and will.
