Manager Igor Tudor

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Whatever happens no point binning him before the Pool game. Last thing we want is another new manager having their first game a fixture we haven't won since the Titanic sank or however depressingly long it's been.

Give Tudor a bit more rope to hang himself and then sack him after Pool. New manager can use the home Atletico game as a free hit warmup (doubt Atletico will even try too hard) before the big one vs Forest.

Alternatively, no one expects anything from the Liverpool match and the Atletico match is a moot point now. That's 180 minutes plus 12 days (and counting down) to evaluate and prepare for Forest.

Seems foolish to waste any of that time.

Maybe. Feel like we're damned if we do, damned if we don't. Everyone said the same about Tudor's first game but I think if we'd had a kinder fixture we might've actually got a bit of a new manager bounce. That 4-1 battering instantly broke the players' confidence in him and his system.

If we bring in someone new and they get pasted in 2 v.difficult fixtures then instantly the players are feeling down about them, the fans are on their back - it's a shit start.

Maybe you sack Tudor and put Bruno in charge as caretaker for 1 game while the new guys are getting their foot in the door?

Given our season whatever we decide to do it will be the wrong decision.

That's how it's beginning to feel.

Maybe we let Tudor take the hit for Liverpool and sack him immediately after with whomever will be our final attempt

That's what I would do tbh. Giving a new manager the Pool game to start with feels like such a hospital pass to me, even if they are a bit vulnerable right now.

Even with good teams/managers we never bloody win at Anfield.
If we need to ride our luck (as if we had any) and try to generate a new manager bounce, it seems to me that those usually come from a manger coming in and simplifying things, giving the players a plan they can carry out successfully, tailored around what the men available for selection are able to do.

We can joke that there isn't any such thing for these men, but trying to cause a bounce seems like one of the few arrows we have left in the quiver.

Tudor came in and tried to install a way of playing that is not attainable in the short term, that the players are not suited for, which has only created confusion and hurt confidence further, it's been the opposite of what we needed.

It may in fact be that there is nothing left that will work, but the patient is in intensive care and just waiting for him to die when there's a chance would be malpractice.

Can't sack this cunt without Lange walking.

Sooner or later you have to arrive at the conclusion that if everything you touch turns to shit, you're the problem.

Yes, they are not what they have been in recent years.

You can get at Liverpool, I just don't know if we can.
Nothing I have seen since the start of this year/last 4 games makes me think we'll get anything from them.

We're at the point where we need a vibes guy to come in to install a modicum of confidence, and hope that it's enough to give them 3 wins. We're rock bottom on the form table so good knows where those point will come from.

If you lose against Palace at home, why would you expect anything against Atletix2 or Liverpool?

We're wasting precious time. Get in Dyche. Fucking hell even Son as player-manager would be better than Tudor

Tudor is on a hiding to nothing.
He has been dealt the worst possible hand.
Changing him for some dinosaur would achieve zip.
Lange and that cunt of a CEO should be sacked before he is.
We are a meme of a club.

What's the obsession with Dyche?

Under performed with Everton and almost had them relegated with a win % less than Thomas Frank!! Then produced nothing at Forest - with a team ideal for his low block style.

Maybe we should see what Pulis is up to.

Dyche wouldn’t be the smartest option imo. We need someone to give the players confidence on the ball, that’s the only way out of this. work a formation and structure where they have options on the ball. We haven’t got the players and we’re not the type of team to grind our one nils

It's because he's perceived as a safe pair of hands and knows the league inside out. Simple football, often 4-4-2 with two physical forwards (suits Richy and Solanke to a lesser extent). As it's simple football, it shouldn't be too difficult to drill into the players, although our squad is shit so I imagine it wouldn't work anyway.

Pulis by comparison hasn't managed since 2020 and represents far more of a gamble.

Doesn't matter though, no chance we go for Dyche. If we do go for someone else it'll be too little, too late. Just as it was when we sacked Frank three months late.

And when Forest beat us then what. The strange thing about Tudor is if you can look past the tough starting fixture, plethora of school boy mistakes, Micky's red and the trial and error team selections, we've actually looked okay for periods. Granted its hard to judge because the opposition are in cruise control playing against ten or comfortably ahead but I'm willing to persevere. If you want him out so badly then you do it. You dont protect the new manager to further kill the incumbent because if he does get a result at Anfield, then what???

Not sure Fernandes will leave United to manage us for one game but worth a go.

If the interim option is between Mason and Dyche, has to be Mason. Dyche will just be another coach the lads will look down and disrespect on. At least Mason was part of the group that won the Europa League with us.

I know the lads are a bunch of entitled twats now and they have no reason to down tools and spit on any manager when their performance stinks. But they are a bunch of softies that will need some cuddling to motivate them to play the last 9 league games to an acceptable level. If tough regime doesn't work out from Tudor, we just have to bear with it and go with the soft approach. They can't be whipped into shape anyway. Dyche will be no different from Tudor.

Hopefully once the season ended with us still in the PL, then we can go hard on those fuckers and boot them out for a clear out. For now, we still need to depend on them to get us points...
