“A bee doesn’t waste its energy trying to convince a fly that honey is better than shit.”

If you’re still married to a shit position on Gray not being good, after being one of the few players showing determination and moments of quality when we’ve been at our lowest in years, at 19 and 20 years of age, then you can keep hovering over your shit mate

I'm not married to any position if he ACTUALLY plays well I will recognise it but I do not just off a few games I look at the WHOLE season - it just goes to show what metrics people use when valuing players...

Invoking his age to me is a fruitless argument - if he's old enough to wear the shirt & old enough to be in our starting 11 I will hold him to the same standard equally as the rest of the team...it's called being consistent...

Fuck it , I’ll say it .

I still thought we were poor , showed a bit of fight but pool went through our midfield like it didn’t exist on several occasions. Tel was often the out ball which ended in losing possession 9 times in the first half alone . Danso was calm and dealt with many dangerous situations. You can see Richie is a fighter but lacks quality. Solanke was non existent but having no one to really link up play it’s to be expected .

It’s a great result and there were improvements in effort but tactically it was a bit of a mess

I think it's inevitable that we look poor with all 5 of our possible number 10s (Maddison, Kulusevski, Bergvall, Gallagher, Xavi) not starting, no natural RW or LW, and a backup CB pairing.

All we needed to see was some form of fight back yesterday and we saw it. Its a platform to build upon and with Leeds drawing to a missed penalty and Forest being held in one of their more winnable games at home to Fulham it was a very good weekend compared to how it was shaping up on Saturday.

After the international break we get for or 5 back... the other teams don't have that luxury.

The big concern is Forest getting Chris Wood back but when I look at their fixtures they've got a long old slog ahead.

Must win against them next weekend but also as critical is must not lose.

confusing isn't it, football..........?

all those men running around, kicking that ball - and the funny fella with the whistle - what's that all about eh?

Have you thought about dry stone walling, or barge spotting instead?

I prefer they didn’t talk about us. Can’t be fucked with that little bald goblin trying to gaslight us about the same shit we’ve all seen with our own eyes
How they have picked a guy who is so devoid of any sort of personality, charisma or conviction to be the ref 'expert' I do not know.

He is never consistent with his explanations. He'll flip and flop his beliefs to suit whatever stance supports the ref/narrative/team.

Is a pathetic section of weekly TV.

2nd half was much better than the 1st half, the thing is we know quality wise we were always going to be crap, what we were looking for is the effort and desire and we got that.

I think we’ve regressed so much that many are seeing this as a good performance, ask any neutral & they’ll tell you it was a very low quality game but yup , baby steps . Hopefully we stay up & the pathetic owners pull their finger out

It’s a shame we didn’t have a window to cover for long term injuries knowing we were in the mix for relegation

Yeah the must not lose is important as well.
I remember some on here saying a defeat at home to West Ham would be a disaster and others replying saying a draw would be a disastrous result as well. Going by their form at the time it might have been but not in context. A draw would have kept the gap and we wouldn't have reignited their season which is what that defeat did.
Saying that , while avoiding defeat is important , we don't have a big cushion now, a win gives us some breathing space.

VVD commits more fouls than Romero but nothing ever happens. It’s like someone gave him an immunity card.

Like the woolwichs and man city players , unfortunately they are smart with it.. choose their moments well.. and more often than not get away with it, rom and van the man , unfortunately just a touch stupid. and much to the idiot pundits delight just wildly slide in and receive glowing comments .I've no idea who coached them as kids, but it should have been drummed into them that slide tackles are a quick way, one way or the other, to take yourself out of the game.. EVERY time you see a player commit to one. Means they're instantly out of the game and they or the player they're covering for has been caught out of position..

Clear and obvious error, that's what VAR is for, then the dipper is booked for diving.

Another perfect advert for the corruption saturating the PL.

If VAR got involved in this they'd be basically referring the match as players literally dive every minute, happens in every league not just the Prem.

It's a subjective call even if it is soft.
