I'm starting to think that as our players seem to be intimidated by our own stadium. when supporters lined the streets to try and give them an extra lift before they got off the coach, it has actually increased the intimidation for these saps.

Not only do they not deserve the support, they can't handle it, they can't feed off of it, they can't turn that positive energy into anything, they can't maintain focus, they keep making lapses.

They are a bunch of fannies.

I was thinking about NF again and I'll ask a rhetorical question. How is this team still not able to execute for a full 90min? Even on the rare occasion when we go ahead (like CP) we completely lose our heads shortly after (VdV's red). And that's with managers like IT specifically targeting fitness, sharpness, etc. 45mins seems to be the team's limit. It's fucking baffling. We were down 1 at home. We had time. 6 pointer. On and on and on smh

Probably age in some cases ( too young ) Injuries and returning to fitness in other cases and sometimes a combination of both.

Add in a few players with a loss of form or who were not really THAT great in the first instance and this is where it ends up.

It’s not a single thing, it’s a balance of too many bad things.

But remember, we were only bad in the league last year because Ange threw the league matches to focus on the Europa League. We didn't lose 22 matches because we were shit and he was a moron.

I hope everyone who peddled that bullshit now understands that you can't simply just choose to stop losing once a losing menality has seeped its way into a club.
They're still peddling it. It's mass insanity.

The saddest thing about relegation would be losing the gems like Gray, Vuskovic and Moore...etc.

It shows the state of the squad that I see a positive of relegation as getting rid of most of the others.

Sick of seeing their stupid faces.

No doubt many of us are thinking about it all far too much today. And when doing that it’s easy to over dramatise and also reflect too much, so with apologies for the reality of this here are my current points.

Firstly, the board has no football intelligence, but then why they have not gone and got some is utterly unforgivable.

And along the same lines of consideration, where are the “big name / big hitters” calling this shit out ?

Where is Mabbutt, where is Perryman, Roberts, even your Ginola’s and Klinsman’s ? Even Ossie, for Christ sake someone say something about these bastards and back up the fan base. It’s deafening in here. Even Levy could say / do something. But nope. It’s in the hands of Flange and some gooner Linked in hire. What do we stand for if that’s what we stand for ?

Secondly, this relegation situation almost seems to be designed and planned for. As each and every one of the cock ups are both predictably anvoidable and baked in to fail, but they happen anyway. Why ? Does the fan base not in anyway effect their ability to make a competitive decision. Likely we really are the inconvenience we appear to be ?

Third, make no mistake about it the football club is utterly fucked if relegated. It’s not funny at all. The biggest irony being that all that PSR / FFP shit Levy loved will make us - at best - a yo yo club for years to come.

And if we go down, are we seriously competing against Birmingham/Wrexham/Boro ? Clubs built to compete in a competitive environment, with ownership that wants to win. I doubt it. I doubt it very much. That lovely cash from the events will be ring fenced and we will drown in the debt and spiral. Why, well the reason is that we are self funding. And that won’t change

Finally, and this is my ultimate wish as of 17:23 today. It is so embarrassingly tragic and predictable now and with regards to what comes next that we would be far better off to let them close the club down. The pricks at ENIC / Tavistock have already won anyway.

We were largely the better team for the whole match.
But what is unsettling is that Forest had 3 clear spells of momentum and scored from all 3.

For me, that shows they let us play to some degree, and then when they decided to have a bit, they opened us up with relative ease.

The fans don't learn.

Too many were busy having a wank over the Europa League win to notice we were DIRE in the league and progressively getting worse and worse and worse.

Despite the fact we're out, it's painfully obvious that it's a lot easier to play in Europe than it is weekly in the Premier League. It's bordering on being a different sport.
The attitude that Ange instilled of prioritising Europe has spilled over into this season with obvious results. Among all the other issues with injuries, transfers, ill fitting managers; subconsciously these players are willing to lose domestic games willy nilly. The PL being more physical and intense is the other reason for the disparity.

Bit harsh on fannies, they have their uses, after all.

I agree ; but there is STILL HOPE . There’s always hope , until there isn’t any .

As has been said ; there’s a few more twists to come . Strange as it may seem yesterday was a “ twist” albeit not a good one ( in fact a very bad one , I know ) .

Football’s a funny old game . Surely we’ll start getting some breaks soon .

The Forest game was the one that we had to win to give us any hope of avoiding the drop. It would have given us some momentum going into the international break, some breathing space over Forest and WHU, and maybe getting some of the long term injured back for the run in.
I just can't see us getting one point, no-one is scared of us and we just fold under the slightest pressure.
We're going down, I'm resigned to that, just wish this season was over, only so much a human can take.

Leeds and wolves left but even those 2 i dont see us getting more then a point maybe from leeds

If we did go down we have more than enough resources and club size to do what or greater than what wolves did in the 2016-17 season where they got Nuno in and signed a bunch of really great players in the championship like Ruben Neves and Jota.

They came up and immediately finished 7th and were in the Europa League the following season.

You just wouldn’t back ENIC to be able to come up with and sell that kind of project though. Even though we are more than capable to do even better than it.
