Ange lost 22 games in a season, didn’t win a single game while he was here against Woolwich or Chelsea, but won a tournament Pochettino mostly played a B team in because we were aiming for the top honours.

Pochettino gave us years of dominance over Woolwich and joyful football, the first win at the bridge in forever, that night in Ajax and the biggest final by far in club football as well as an 86 point league season. We were mixing it with the elite.

It’s a dumb comparison and it makes you look stupid. Pochettino has a far bigger legacy at the club which is why many, many more fans beg for him back than the about 5 on here who want Ange.

Literally equivalent to acting like the kid who wins something for the B team is better than the kid who nearly wins with the A team. Brainlet.
Lloris,Vertonghen, Walker, Rose, Eriksen, Deli, Kane all already existed within the club and had been played / bedded to a certain point before his arrival. Most could see potential or form in all of these to indicate their ability.

What did Ange get introduced to exactly? An aging Son?Many of which were calling for him to be dropped or at least rotated? - managed for 2 seasons - especially the first look absolutely world class (moving him more central)

In that first season, with competitively less ability squad wise Ange had Spurs looking more exciting than the first season under Poch - you cannot argue otherwise.

What happened next was the difference in club decisions / squad depth and transfers made (not Ange's fault)

For as much as I love Poch, we always were weak whenever we played a final. We had a great team at that point which Poch helped build - absolutely. Ange however, was always punching well above his weight. The system, the belief he was able to install was incredible and I 100% believe that if Ange had been manager for us during the last 2 seasons of Poch's reign we would have CERTAINLY got over the line.

People like you dislike Ange because they wrote him off early him being Australian and having only managed in the Scottish league / National side of any "real" or "credible" note. That as well as all the digs on him being "fat" which is absolutely always superficial nonsense. Then YOU couldn't handle it when your ego and initial judgement of him were WRONG and couldn't wait to turn on him.

It's honestly absolutely pathetic. Everyone can see it. Do better.

:ange-hands-head:

You should be embarrassed for this. Pochettino gave his all for us and doesn’t deserve to be besmirched like this

Every single person with any brains at all would rather be where the club was that night at Ajax than where we were last summer. The world was open to us then, any trophy and any honor was possible. We were too high then to even be playing in Europa, which is a poor competition these days. If we’d had a chairman to back Poch, we were not far from the summit.

But, no. We should pretend that winning something lower than a domestic cup is the peak and last years side was better than the one played in the CL final. Of course.

Who’s a bigger legend, Juande, George Graham, or Ange?

Dearie me - I have dealt with this lame, pathetic, point so many times - I'll just repost one of my earlier ones because you don't deserve the respect of a fresh response. Do better!

Christ this take is so fucking lame. Ramos won the (lesser) League Cup trophy with Jol's team not his own. Then, when he had a summer to make the side his own, got 2 points from 8 games and was sacked.

So no, he and Graham (for similar reasons) don't have the same sense of fond memories as a manager whose second last game in charge was us winning our first European trophy in 40 years. This might be hard to understand for someone as spectacularly dim as you are so here's a few videos and pictures that might help you get it:

Since then, you got what you wanted, he was sacked, and we're on the brink of relegation. I suggest you worry more about that than normal people looking back with some fondness on the comparative sunlit uplands of the Postecoglou era than the absolute shit fest you've been applauding all year.

I along with many others underestimated two things, how poor Frank was, but also, the damage Ange's pathetic tactics had done to the squad. He started the losing and we haven't been able to stop it. Was a Europa League really worth relegation....nope.

I still maintain under a decent manager this squad can be top 7, absolutely. Fucking hell, Brentford are up there.

The only exposing you are doing is on your cluelessness.
Stop with the negative vibes, Moriarty.

Ange is the cause of the current diabolical season?
Do you really, honestly believe that?

Your'e happy with a 7th place finish?
What a joke.
Every season, we should be striving to win everything.

And guess what?
Ange got us to 55th in his first season and into the CL, and in his second season, he won THAT CUP

Couldn’t win a single game at Forest btw in a league run that included Burnley. In a squad which has put 6 goals past us unanswered btw.

Just nothing but excuses for a manager who has made failing in England a habit. Loses matches for fun.
I thought you and the rest of the Anti-Postecoglou squad had established that Ange's first 10 games don't count. He only got 8 at Forest.

Also pointing out that our squad is so poor that it got comfortably beaten by fellow relegation strugglers, isn't the win you think it is.

It just emphasises how much Ange was overachieving with pretty much the same group of players.

Your last sentence is incorrect, and I don't just mean the 55th.

I’ve never said this. I have criticised him for never developing past that or reaching that peak again but all games count. He got 8 games because he did not win a single one.

It shows him failing with TWO squads with two separate conditions…

Overachieving by losing 22 games and finishing on 38 points … ok mate.

Of course you have to distort the reality that we were doing perfectly fine in 6th place with +14 GD and great underlying metrics until we endured an unprecedented injury crisis that ruined the league season.

Now Derangers are trying to lie that this years injury crisis was "arguably worse". We all know that's a crock of utter shit and, besides, the metrics from the very start were AWFUL compared to the first 12 game days of the 24/25 season.

Stop lying. Stop distorting. You were wrong.

Own it.
