It’s more a case of integrating 7/8 new first team players , I was comparing to other teams that kept the nucleus and came back up . Wolves could well walk the championship cos they’ve spent 6 months preparing for it , they have a manager and players fully committed . We’ve no idea what’s going to be left for us to work with next season on and off the pitch .
I really don't think this is the biggest worry.

Arguably, we'd be wanting to integrate 7/8 new players anyway even if we stay up, as the current lot have been so disastrous that keeping the squad largely in tact would be idiocy.

If we go down, we still have control over who stays/goes for the most part. You can argue that there will be an imperative to sell players for financial reasons, but the club could decide that it's worth the risk to keep hold of players for the best shot at an immediate return. Whether this current group really provides that is the big question.

Which leads me on to the biggest worry, the club retaining control over departures is usually a good thing, unless the people making the decisions are incompetent. An currently we know the people at the club making decisions are beyond incompetent.

I think it's absurd that Lange is still here, and by extension Vinai as he's demonstrated poor judgement (to put it mildly!) by not giving Lange the boot. There is no valid reason for them still being employed unless you consider the terrifying prospect that there is a chance they will remain in the summer. We don't need to have them around to ensure continuity for the next window or a new arrival in that area, as why would we want a continuation of ineptitude??

It's as ridiculous as keeping Paratici around for January, what good came of that exactly?

Another week for delivery Zebri to work something.
Maybe he performs a miracle and wins 3 on the bounce.

Cheese something at home against Brighton. A completely underserved win after being trashed all match.

Wolves away, should really just over power them however unlikely, but really as west ham showed they are very beatable

Villa - I assume the game must get moved a day later otherwise villa would only have a day off after their semi final
Regardless it's sandwiched in-between their two must important games.

We got this! Right decision to not spend money:langetroll:

im not sure if i remember it correct but i think son played most of the season with a injury last year

I don't know mate but we could have kept Son.

I am sure he would have accepted club captaincy but reduced playing time.

Frank or whoever made the decision for him to leave grossly underestimated the impact.

When you consider we brought in Muani on loan and what he has offered, it's hard to believe Son would have offered as little.

It's done and many of us probably thought it was an okay decision at the time, but like selling Johnson in the winter window, you must identify a replacement and be certain they offer something in a similar vein.

Next season will be easier as next to no one in this squad does anything that can't be readily replaced, and improved upon.

I’m not romanticising anything. I’m looking at where they are now and where we are headed (the Championship).

I’m not willing not to happen. We are most likely going down irrespective of what any of us here think, so I’m looking at what I consider the best possible scenario if the most likely outcome from this season transpires.
Villa came back up via being sold twice and almost going to the wall.

We on the other hand will continue to watch ENIC faff about with their usual lack of ambition and planning. Relegation won't turn them into strategic geniuses.

I sat last night trying to decide who would stay

Leave

Vicario
Romero
Van de Ven
Udogie
Bergvall
Bissouma
Solanke
Xavi
Richarlison

Undecided

Porro
Sarr
Danso
Dragusin
Spence
Gray
Bentancur
Tel

Stay

Maddison
Kulu
Moore
Lankshear
Kinsky
Gallagher
Donley

Only reason Maddison and Deki stay is because they've been out for a year. Not sure anyone will take the risk on them. Gray is another who I think could stay, and if so you build the team around him.

Wouldn't be shocked if Vuskovic, Xavi and Kudus went on loan, due to their long contracts and amounts we'd want

The management, setup, department, culture of the entire club top to bottom is fucking rotten. Have been for some time.

When you are in your comfort zone with almost no responsibility, digress is the only outcome. The entertainment business arm of Tottenham Hotspur runs with more objectives in mind. The sporting arm of it? Nobody gives a damn.

The club needs to be sold to an owner with clear sporting ambition in mind. The whole branding and identity be stripped away the better. ENIC has poisoned the entire club only humiliation could be thought of and linked to the football club. We need a new start from the championship if we are relegated. Let De Zerbi rebuild it.
Lange Will definitely be sacked and Vinai as well tbh. As for the club being sold, doubt they sell at their lowest value.

Getting rid of Lange, Vinai and a lot of the players is a start.

Yeh think we might loan out a couple as well tbh. Vuskovic and maybe Tel and Xavi but think Kudus will be sold.

Your stay list is probably right bar Gallagher imo. You have Porro and Bentancur in your undecided list who I think will both definitely be sold and I think Bergvall could stay in your leave list.

What’s you point? That you think we will go down and stay down indefinitely or go bust because the club is poorly run.

I don’t think that will happen .

We shall see.

I don't see anyone paying £30m+ for Gallagher, plus the wages he'll want.

I really hope Bergvall and Gray stay, both are the future of this club, but both will have big suitors.

They were also skint. I don't think we'll be in for the Josh Onomah's of this world if we go down.
It didn't look like we (Villa) were skint to begin with - our first year spend was more than our second and third years combined.

After we got relegated with a bored American owner who stopped investing for personal reasons, we got taken over by a lunatic who bought utter dross and came about 24 hours from bankrupting us two years later.

We got new (great) owners and squeaked through the playoffs with a Villa fan manager, Villa fan captain and some very good loans.

I often think we were a whisker away from being Sheff Wednesday though.

I don't think it's a good comparison if you go down though - you have saleable assets, diverse revenue streams and frankly a much higher profile. Your exec team looks grossly incompetent but that can't last forever.

I appreciate fans of all clubs think they are hard done by but that Twitter thread i posted makes for pretty damming evidence that we are definitely treated differently to every other club.

We are hated. I don't think that can be disputed.
For me, the worst part is how there's almost a blanket ban on it being discussed in the media.
If Liverpool or Arse had suffered as many criminal decisions as us, it would be everywhere. Every pundit, every paper, every channel. There would be dossiers. Evidence. Proof.

Because it's us, some cunt that doesn't have any affinity to Spurs fobs it off in the media and that's it. End of.
"that one shouldn't have been ruled out against Spurs because it's different"

Fuck off you cheating, lying, bias cunts. If I stood on a show on Sky Sports News and just said Dermott Gallagher was, in fact, 7.5ft tall, female, and had 6 arms they'd ask me to explain it.
But when those cunts explain how the Fulham and Liverpool goals against us stood, but the one we scored against Woolwich didn't. there's NO explaination. "it's different"
No it's fucking not.
It's CHEATING.

It's not over yet!
Tottenham Hotspur lives!
Others may celebrate our troubles, and they'll kick us while we're down if we get relegated!
It's not over yet!

Dust ourselves off, keep going, the next game is also a final!

We fans are the 12th man! We have to support the team, they have to feel it – and – as long as the season isn't over, I support everyone who wears this shirt!

COYS!

Villa spent three years down there, their first season they were midtable shite with a negative goal difference.

There's a lot of romanticising about Villa on here for some reason but it wasn't the cake walk for them you're all remembering
And they only came up via the play-offs after finishing 5th, then clung to PL status in 17th the next season.
Point being that coming back up and staying up will be very difficult, especially with what will be a mostly new and unfamiliar team.

Thank you!

And don't take offence to this, but this post shows up a huge number of our own fans who've been falling over themselves to exclaim that we're down first, loudest, and most often.

A Frankfurt fan who came onto this board just last season and I would assume has us down as their second team has more passion for this fight than some (a lot!) of our own. Be embarrassed you lot!

If you can't change your tune then how about just stfu for the next 6 games instead?
