He probably will, and they’ll all be working off emotion and wrong too. Understandable of course. It’s a trophy. And it’s European so it must be good!

Fans aren’t rational about this stuff. It is objectively, factually a very low quality competition. We will (again) see English teams clean up the EL and conference because the resource advantage borders on hilarity.

You don’t need to be a good manager to win it. You don’t even need a good team. You just need to be in it and committed to going for it, and hope you’re the best of the mid tier English teams who qualified for it that year.

Congrats, have a trophy.

Oh I agree.

I base Postecoglou's managerial bonafides on his somehow getting a 5th place finish from the bunch of misfits we have in our squad in his first year - and then having us 6th with amazing underlying metrics in his 2nd season before the injury crisis ruined our league season.

The European Trophy was an amazing achievement not because it was high quality competition - but because of the circumstances of the season we were having otherwise. Somehow through sheer force of will he got the squad to believe they could achieve something great. And they did.

It's something to be celebrated. Unless you're Deranged of course. :D

But we didnt play attacking football, we could barely string two passes together.

Sigh...

If you have the ability - go and look at Spurs xG and xGA metrics up until game week 13 of the 24/25 season. The +14 GD will give you a hint as to how our attacking metrics were going - especially in comparison to anything we've seen this seaosn.

This enitre year we've played like the dying days of the Conte era. That seems to be your bag. Unfortunately for you De Zerbi loves Ange Ball and will bring it back to the Lane. Probably too late to save us from the mistakes made by fuckwits who thought pragmatism was what this club needed after Bilbao.

It's like whack a mole in this thread, fucking hell

What did this man do to people 😭

🤣

How completely oblivious can you be.

Who has set the culture at the club for over 20 years until recently? Levy

Who has flip flopped between defensive and attacking managers, and never really backing any? Levy

Thus destroying any identity at the club.

And of course, the managers share part of the blame... Playing players out of position, refusing to adapt, sticking to the same players that consistently let us down, in Ange's case, regressing our ability to play football, that we couldn't string more than two passes together... The list goes on.

And the players, they share some of the blame to... Butt hurt petulant snowflakes, to weak and pathetic, cowardly wankers.

The club is in this mess, directly because of the people you claim are not at fault.

I am Completely fecking clueless.
Fixed your post for you.

I agree with you. But the wider narrative that sustains Ange is that he prioritised, which again I don’t think is true
You don’t think he prioritised the Europa League when he was leaving then fit players like Romero and VDV on the bench and starting Archie Gray and some other rando in their place? Or playing them for just 45 mins and then subbing them when games were still in the balance? Ok bro.

And they called me fruit loop... I.e. a nut case...

Don't see you calling them up.
Can I just gently point out, that it wasn't me who called you a 'fruit loop'. It was WillWilliams WillWilliams in this post, where he made a number of points, one of which was that you were a 'fruit loop'.

A more vindictive man might be forgiven for thinking that your subsequent behaviour in this thread merely confirms his opinion, but I'm happy to leave that for others to decide.

Guilty as charged!!

It’s amazing how Ange had to “prioritise” the Europa league by throwing league results away like this. Meanwhile Villa remain in the top 4 while fighting for it, Forest play their first eleven each week under Pereira and are in excellent form etc. Now go on, be silly and tell me Forest have some mega squad the likes of which Ange could only dream of.

The sacked by wolves Pereira even has rested players FOR EL games and prioritised the league - yet still got past Porto.

It’s almost like these are balanced, professional coaches capable of motivating and balancing their teams over multiple competitions and not some hack who has to abandon the league to beat Bodo Glimt, Frankfurt and Alkmaar with a Spurs team he oversaw hundreds of millions of transfers for.

The only reason we’re having this dumb ass debate infinite times is because United were stubborn enough to retain Amorim & we had the easiest EL run in the history of a famously not hard competition.

I don't need to go look up so BS statistics, I watched every fecking game, and what I saw was a shower of shyte, and every conversation was the same, I had with my mates...

We can't stop giving the ball away, or string more than two passes together. Kuluveski... passing with his right foot once every ten games, most of the time, running into dead ends, or killing any attack by having to switch to his left foot, then spending 6 half months deciding what too do...

Yes, there were games when it clicked, but we lost 22 games the league in one season, for a reason... We was fucking shit and no amount of stats can hide that.

I am sorry, but you are utterly blinkered, if you can't be honest about last season.

I have you on block for reason, it's not because I think you are a bad person, or horrible to people, swear, done me wrong...

I have you on ignore, because you are so unwilling to accept the truth and reality of things, you willfully ignore every single n negative aspect about Ange, even in this post I am relying to you are using dubious BS statistics, to justify your argument, but at the same time you are probably calling Lange shyte, but he picks players solely based on statistics, and that's his problem, and that's what you get with statistics, you just get numbers that tell you very little, as there is more to football than that.

Ginola, if you checked his stats, are probably worse than Johnson's, certainly scored less goals per game, but who would you rather have in the team?

So on ignore you go again, because you are impossible to debate with, and almost every argument you have made on the man has been completely irrational. By your own arguments you use, you should be lording George Graham as a Tottenham legend, but he's not, despite winning one of the only other pieces of silver that Spurs has won in PL era...

It's so sad, that fans just cannot be honest, they have to lie, manipulate, twist, and take everything out of context. And the smugness that you apply to your posts, in your assertion that you are so correct, is just so missed placed. It's the equivalent of flat Earther's laughing at people who think the Earth is a globe...

It's tragic.

It's just a bit of insight into a footballer's experience, opinion, and desire. I stopped reading your post after the part I have just quoted. Firstly I don't really care and secondly I didn't say he spoke for everyone.

Haven't heard that one before, somehow I don't believe that

Mateta is a shit example, he is just a footballer who has nothing to do with Spurs or what happens/ has happened at this football club yes therefore your point is irrelevant, cheers.
