Management Roberto De Zerbi

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I know, but some on here think we bombed the next Ferguson. It's fucking crazy. I've done a lot of drugs, but none that would make me belive Ange was good. These fools are drinking some special kool aid.
I really hope you're right, and De Zerbi is a better manager than Postecoglou.

That will mean we've got a top four finish, and a couple of trophies to look forward to over the next two years.

Benta has come in and been outstanding. That RDZ can play him and Palhinha together and have it be so different from the shit we saw under Frank speaks to RDZ's talent as a manager.

Weirdly enough, Frank was getting raucous praise for the W at city in August when playing them together.

Now not comparing the two at all Frank was a failure here and never looked like being anything other than that from after that City game... but.... people were still saying the same after that match.

No judgement from me but he instills something different from Frank, which is stating the obvious.

Like Pochettino he probably understands a bit more than seems when asked questions but what he seems to have done is create a siege mentality by saying everyone thinks we are going down, what you going to do about it.

Leeds are on a good run, but next week, they will face fire.

I also think we will gain our first penalty of the season.

You think we wouldn't have got anything from Fulham, Palace and Forest if he was brought in immediately after Frank was sacked?

They even said he was their first choice in the summer. They probably went to him and decided against giving him what he wanted thinking we will be fine with a botch job appointment to escape relegation. They are so fucking inept it's funny.

Gotta hope this whole debacle ends up in them recognising they have to back him all the way. (Assuming they aren't going anywhere).

There is probably a long list of things De Zerbi is doing differently to the previous two managers but the key things that stand out seem so simple really - sensible choices in who plays where, and being hungry for the ball across the pitch. Annoys me thinking back to TF saying we'd be ambitious and attack the game.

Woah woah woah - I know things are looking up but let's not go crazy!

No coincidence that when managers defend the club and players in their pressers, instill a strong mentality in players' minds, they will return the faith on the field.
:rdzarms::ange-arms:

Only a cunt will drink from a cup with the scum logo and not know, while constantly using the scum as a comparison tool in meeting and training. And we wonder why the players couldn't play.
:frankwtf:

Looking back at cup-gate it was fucking ridiculous. I couldn’t believe it at the time. But now it’s just even more unthinkable.

This cannot be underestimated. Gray and Berg were playing because they HAD to at one point because we had no other options - there is no way we bought Gray to play 50 games for us already as a 20 year old, its the insane injuries over the past 18 moths that forced it.

Having an experienced, confident midfield wins games

The spurs tacticos/football manager players wouldn’t have it though would they?

No matter how many times the idiots, who’ve never kicked a ball in their lives, were told. Our best periods of the season have occurred with both of them on the pitch at the same time.

It's done now but Frank should have gone before the West Han game, when they had been in poor form, and which begun our cliff drop and their ascent

Too much has gone wrong this season and it needs forensic analysis but it shows you how cataclysmic things can get if too many wrong decisions are made at the same time.

What we won't hear this week is an ounce of complacency.

It was nice to see Gallagher perform so well.
Amazing what a good manager can do with players, even strange things like, playing in their best position.
Under Frank, didn't he play wide on the right?

The biggest difference was the movement of all the outfield players to create a passing angle for whoever was on the ball. This was the complete opposite to what was happening at the start of the year. Don't know if that by by instruction or just player apathy but it makes all the difference in the world.

Damn, have to hand it to him...

Last time we won 2 games in a row in EPL ? Rounds 1 and 2 in this season!
Last time we went 3 games unbeaten in EPL ? At the turn of the year, so matchweek 18-20.

And I know that "almost" does not matter. But Brighton game was SO close. So could have been the first time we won 3 in a row. Now have to make it happen against Leeds.

And it's hardly like we are blessed with injury situation. With Romero and Xavi added to "season-over-list"...

He has done some things really well in extremely challenging and unfavorable situation. So - well done!

Vinai and Lange wanted to keep Frank till end of season. Was the board that removed him in the end and ended up getting De Zerbi. Vinai and Lange are the CEO and Sporting Director they are supposed to be the guys that know what they are doing, that Joe Lewis’s kids and son in law had to fix it gives me the indication that Lange and Vinai shouldn’t be anywhere near this club. That have to go in the summer.
Had we gone down and lost hundreds of millions, those 2 should have been brought up on charges of criminal neglect.

Nice try trying to sneak Ange in there. He started the downward spiral we find ourselves in.
It's a mental disorder at this stage.
That fucking dipshit systematically destroyed any confidence this club had to win games.

We're currently, still facing an existential threat to the very fabric of the club, and we're only 1 point away from equally our points tally from last season with 3 games to spare.
We cannot lose as many games as we lost last season.
It's taken 3 replacement managers to undo the damage caused.

And still there's fucking morons that share the air with us, trying to defend him.

I do genuinely think the timing made it v.hard to get De Zerbi right after Frank.

He had a really deep connection with Marseille and the fans there. If he'd walked straight into the Spurs job I think he would've felt like he was betraying them as it would appear premeditated. Not to mention I think he wanted a little break as Marseillie is fucking mental.

Maybe we could've pushed harder/offered more or waited 2-3 weeks to give De Zerbi more time but imagine the press and uncertainty of Spurs being managerless for that long.

Tudor was a disaster ofc but I really dont think it was quite as simple as just throwing more money at De Zerbi in Feb.
