Player Cristian Romero

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Various times Romero has left his defensive position to press opposition, which has left space in the box. I remember Romero doing this against Wolves at home in the 1-1 draw, and if i can recall correctly, we conceded.

He is very erratic and as other posters have said, the refs see any kind of physical duel he commits and receives a yellow or harsh foul.

On his day Romero is clearly world class, particularly in the EL final alongside Micky. However, unless we really push on in the market purchasing better players, its better for each party that we sell Romero in favour of Vuskovic.

I can see Romero performing better under RDZ and under an ownership who prioritises buying ready made players who are good enough for Spurs.

EL is by definition not world class. It is a second tier competition. So that statement makes no sense.

In the CL, he was sent off at the crucial moment.

He never stood out at the big stage. Don't say he did at the world cup. He didn't.

Romero is capable of having world class performances in my opinion.

Despite it being the EL, Romero was a big reason why we won the trophy

I think Romero should be sold, but as much as he deserves the crticism, we should not forget the positives.

I agree with you on the CL.

Guy is a first class wanker.

Continually let's himself and Spurs down.

I'd be glad to see the back of him.

Unprofessional and unreliable.

Give me super Kev every day of the week.

The thing with Romero is he plays for Spurs, look at what Gabriel gets away with every Week, if Romero had that kind of protection from the refs he would be talked about as one of the games best, I'm selling him regardless as I don't want any of the old leadership team here after the last 2 seasons, however I am fully prepared for him to leave and it look like it was the wrong decision to sell him.....

Gabriel has played in a team challenging for the title for years now and I fuckcing hate him but he is a phenomenally consistent CB.

Romero is not consistent in the slightest. Sure he is in a team plauged by deficient managerial appointments but his inconsistency has let us down massively the last few years

I'll give you the reds and the errors, but does not even a small part of you think the 2 wins and a draw in the last 3 games might also have something to do with the new manager? :rdsfacepalm:
This isn't logical at all. You could also point to isolated results like the previous win Crystal Palace Danso played we won under Frank. Was that the manager or Danso? Come on man, its the body of work you have to look at and I want this done to EVERY player. Four years multiple coaches is he worth the BS or going to suddenly become rock solid...is he fuck. We need better.

Danso is utter gash. If he is starting 38 games next season then we are in for more of the same shit.
He should be the fourth choice next year. He’s okay at heading and long throws...but other than that, he's way out of his depth at every part of the game. Nice bloke, bla bla bla, but this is sport, not charity.

If there's not a good handful of Championship CB's that would upgrade him for cheap i'd be shocked. RDZ has already become aware of how poor he is on the ball, if he doesn't improve drastically next year he'll probably be moved on anyway.

You don't pay a guy 200 large for him to sit on the bench. We ain't Chelsea.

Gabriel is a thug who should have booked many, many red cards if the shit Arse loving refs weren't so effing bent.

He absolutely deserves every bit as bad or worse a reputation than Romero.

How can you defend him when he's gotten away scot-free with such absolute bullshit calls in this league?
