Dear All
To celebrate my 70th birthday (the "you don't look it" comment always goes down well ;) ), I've decided to do a skydive for Noah's Ark. If you would like to sponsor me, I would appreciate it very much. Here is the link:

If you leave your name, please add your TFC name, so I can thank you personally.
Finally, huge thanks to Mick Cooper Mick Cooper , who helped me enormously in the arrangements, and Admin Admin for allowing me to post this.

Mrs Perryman Mrs Perryman I gave a measly amount because I have a lot of things to cover financially at the moment but I hope you reach your target regarding the funding, and if it was me skydiving they'd need to sedate me on the plane, because when the door opened I'd be like ''no way''!

I did a skydive a couple of years ago. The thing that surprised me the most was that there's absolutely no sensation of falling when you jump. Sounds counterintuitive, but it's true. You brace yourself for this gut-wrenching sensation, but it just doesn't come. It's incredibly noisy during the free fall phase, then the parachute deploys and the world goes silent. If you ever decide to give it a go (and I'd highly recommend it), make sure the harness straps are aligned properly... the jolt you get when the parachute deploys can bring tears to your eyes if you get that wrong! :sneaky:

IF the parachute deploys...there...corrected it for you...

I'd rather stick a wasp up my arse.

No skydiving, bungee jumping, or any shit like that for me. I still don't even like being on an aeroplane but I force myself to do it for the sake of a nice holiday. Going down a hill on a sledge at the local park after it's been snowing is enough excitement for me.

An acquaintance went in the water with sharks at a sea life centre, I might consider something like that if I wanted to be frightened.

Well, I'm surprised (didn't think you were 70). But 70 is the new 60 these days.
Donation done. It's a great cause and hope you enjoy it.

If only you could take Lange and Vinai up there with you (preferably without parachutes) and kick them both out!

Bloody hell Dee... 70?!!! 😲 Is that months or years???! 😉

Will be sure to chip in.... Good luck... Rather you than me, THAT'S for sure...

Still, can't get any less terrifying than the next fortnight of Spurs!!!! 🙄

Stop lying Dee. I know it's the fashion to say you're older than you are, but 30 years? - there are limits.

As for skydiving - erm no thanks.
