Atletico are dismantling the band, get Oblak in. Or if it's true Inter want Vicario (bless them), get Sommer in for a year. Might not be the absolute best with the ball at their feet, but they are still immense goalkeepers that would lift our squad big friggin time.

Under normal circumstances I would normally want to build a team for the now and the future, players in early 20s to about 28 would be my ideal.Now though and probably as one of the oldest on this forum I want to see a few trophies a.s.a.p so if that involves getting a couple of names like that then let’s go,for them.
I think if we get our shit sorted (providing we stay up) we have the potential to do quite well under De Zerbi, next season is 1 game a week.

We have the financial power of Villa/Newcastle, a recent track record (if we stay up) comparable to Ipswich and West Ham, and no European football to offer. That very much limits the calibre of players you're likely to attract. Everyone turned their noses up at Crysencio Summerville back in January and would have wanted Lange and Vinai's heads if they'd bought him - but he'd have been an extremely astute signing for where we're at and we'd almost definitely be staying up comfortably. If we have a good transfer window, it will probably be by signing players Danny Rose would definitely have to Google - because we're a much smaller club than we were when he (rightly at the time) said that.
He was decent for Porto but it hasn't really clicked for him at City. Wouldn't be the first to get lost in that team despite plenty of opportunities. But I agree, I dont think he is an upgrade on what we have.

We aren’t in a position to buy the players they’d want anyway, so better pay isn’t really an issue.
If a player is offered to you then you say no. I can't believe that is a complicated decision even for the brains trust we have in charge.
