Not got the mentality we want IMHO and should be one of those cleared out.
Might be a good time to cash in tbh. Hopefully he gets picked for England and gets some minutes - can probably get a decent fee for him if his stock is high.
He's got talent but I think issues around his attitude and commitment have always lurked beneath the surface. And even if he is a solid pro behind the scenes he blows too hot and cold on the pitch for me - we need players that leave everything out there, not fairweather players.
He looked borderline world class for a 7-8 game spell under Ange when he broke through and he's come nowhere near that level since.
Got to sell him in the summer. Suspect we’ll do the opposite though and make him first choice. He thinks he’s better than he is.
When I look at the right backs of the top teams in the prem I honestly think Spence can walk into a lot of their first XI's or be a useful squad option at the very least.
I think he's definitely got the talent to play at a top side (at the very least as a squad option) but I do wonder about his commitment and drive to improve. Feels a bit like he's coasted once he got a secure place in the squad and a new deal. And the most successful teams don't tend to keep players around that aren't fully bought in to the club and giving it everything.
If we stay up, the way De Zerbi handles him longer term will be telling, although finding homegrown players that have pace, physicality and can cover both sides isn't easy so there may be an element of needs must in the short term at least.

If I were Djed Spence I would be very frustrated about not being picked to play at right back; ahead of the defensively useless Pedro Porro.
Porro's transfer value has been continually protected, by the clowns running THFC for the last 25 years, and their business M.O.
Spence will be first choice right back for Spurs and Porro will be jogged on.
When that day comes it will be a huge step in the right direction.

I think im completely stuck. We have to wait and see now. IF we stay up RDZ gets to decide on ALL of them because I think he clearly has access to settings other recent coaches dont (see Randal kolo Deceased) . If he thinks "I can fix this one" keep them if he wants shot of them Spence, Paulinha, Porro, Kinsky. Leave to De zerbi.

His performances have fallen off the cliff the minute he got his England call up, like he thinks he’s arrived.
Warnock is a twat, but he had Spence sussed IMHO.
