On a personal level, I won't be celebrating per session. I'll be glad we weren't relegated but mostly I'll be thinking thank fuck that season is over and I hope this truly scared the shit out of the higher ups and their complacency and hope that the players take a good long look at their truly abysmal performances.

There will be huge relief and the final day party vibes if we stay up.
Imagine that will translate into some celebrating. Also others giving a light round of applause and then going to get their trains.

If I was in the stadium I’d be nowhere near as elated as if we won something.
But I think the emotional relief and the “thank fuck for that” feeling would definitely have me buzzing.

That's the strange thing about following a sport.

If Spurs score a couple of goals early and West Ham fail to score at Leeds, by the end of the game it will be a collective meh; and everyone will head home glad the season is over.

However, if Everton get a first half goal, and West Ham are winning over at Leeds - It will be the most exciting and nail biting 2nd half for Spurs fans, and a last minute equaliser for Spurs would probably end up with a celebratory pitch invasion and all the fans on a major piss up party afterwards. I bet the club shop would also sell a shed load of extra shirts for whomever bags the goal.

Its a funny old game!

I have had an ominous feeling since the Chelsea game. Can't shake it. Praying i am wrong. That said, praying to god hasn't been much use so far this season. I might try a different one this time. Or go the Chinese route and pray to my ancestors.

The sooner this match is over the better.
 
I keep reminding myself that only one of 9 possible score outcomes in the two games relegates us.
I don't know why that brings comfort in this dismal season. But, it does.
And I'm going for a low-scoring win for us in this one.

Don't we watch Sport for those edge of the seat, anxious moments? Wouldn't it be boring if Spurs just won comfortably 3-0 every week. How many of you would still be watching the games if we were sat mid table, playing for nothing?

Interestingly, the year Liverpool won the title for the first time in forever in dominating fashion; my mate, a lifelong liverpool fan stopped watching as it was boring knowing they would win every game! No excitement. No rush. No adrenaline. He described it as watching a reply when you already know the result.

Yeah 0-2 and 45mins played on the clock in Amsterdam arena tells us anything can happen in football.

But you have to be positive don’t you?? We all know the alternative. Fact is we are in the pole position.

Optimism over pessimism every time for me.
 
It is far better to be 2 points ahead with a much better goal difference than WH’s position. It is in our hands. Like many I do not have the love for the players that I have had in past seasons. However to me it is not about the players but the fans. I spend a lot of my time watching & thinking about Spurs as I am sure do many others on here. We do not deserve to suffer & play in the Championship next season. Last time it happened there was not the amount of football on TV & no streaming. At the time I was recently married and could not afford to go to WHL & it was just reading the newspapers. If relegated I will have to find something else to do as I will not have the enthusiasm to watch Championship matches especially if we are struggling.

I will be devastated if we get relegated and as usual when we lose the TV will be switched off as the final whistle is blown. I will try & find something else to do & not look at the forum or read reports for some hours. Not sure how I will react if we survive, relief will be most likely rather than say the joy & elation of winning the Europa and whether I watch the aftermath on TV will depend on what twats are there. I would watch say Dawson but if Say Redknapp is on making his usual snidely remarks it will go off. I just hope the worst case scenario does not happen & we have a local derby next season against Ipswich rather than WH. In fact whatever the outcome we will not be playing WH in a league match next season.
