I'm not so sure about that. I'd replace 'WILL' with 'MIGHT POSSIBLY' and add 'ONE DAY' at the bottom.

True. I think he is more comfortable playing close to the goal. Once he is wide, he does not know what to do and try to improvise. I don't know how RDZ could do it, but if he can push him inside more while figure away to keep right side pressure on, that might help. If we score early then back to normal set up.
We should be swapping him and Tel during games multiple times.

Ok let’s look at it.Our most creative starts the game and that encourages the rest of the team and discourages Everton. He can play about 30-35 minutes.Imagine that he leaves the pitch after that time and we have not scored ( esp with our strikers). That would really deflate out boys with them thinking that their creative force has gone off but Everton will ne relieved. Now if we are 0-0 or even 1 up at about 60 minutes and he comes on.That would give our boys a boost but the opposite for Everton.
He can play 35 minutes and coast to HT.
It won't deflate anyone if they know he's meant to come off.
I simply don't trust us to be in a positive position at 60-70 minutes. We'll be dead on our feet again

Would prefer to see Spence at RW than LW. Tel at least gives you half a threat of banging one in from that left wing cutting in.

Richy has a decent record against Everton iirc? So Solanke and Maddison off the bench on 60 mins ideally

Don't understand this idea of playing Spence on the wing and Porro at FB..... Porro is a shit defender yet likes to swing a cross in.

Other way round surely?

Porro drops into midfield (in the 2) in build up alongside Bentancur, he's the only one really who wants to pass forward in this team, he's not a winger, doesn't have that burst of pace or that acceleration and he tends to spam crossed in when he's out there anyway.

Probably because De Zerbi is using Porro like Postecoglou did - as one of our more effective (ie: capable  ) passers of the fucking ball. Porro's wasted wide right in this set up. And Spence can't do what Porro can do midfield.

The counter argument is that Spence is a MUCH better defender one on one, of course.

Think it's moot anyway as I think De Zerbi needs Spence to cover LB when Udogie tires.
