Great lad. Dont think ive ever wanted a player to succeed as much as I have with him. I really thought he had it and I had such high hopes for him. Massive shame hes not been able to kick on. There can be zero room for sentiment this summer though. Hes not good enough. I wish him all the best and would love it if he proved me (and everyone else) wrong. Should recoup at the very least what we forked out on him which IIRC was about 15? Maybe 5m more?

No idea what's happened to him. He's completely gone off the boil and just doesn't seem to have any of that tenacity and desire to get stuck in anymore.
That bereavement seems to have profoundly affected him. But he is another peice of weird player stockpiling the same profile player not getting the mins to development. The club is a young player grave yard. Horrible recruitment.

TBF to him, neither Ange or Frank really did much in the last two seasons to utilise a CM player like that, and Tudor was just an exercise to relegate us.

With time under RdZ, he could fit into that Caceido type role. Remains to be seen

Laughable to compare him to Caceido.

He is simply not good enough technically. He's part of the general technical recession of the squad which has seen us to consecutive 17th place finishes (if we're lucky).
