Stones is a great CB but he's 32 this week, injury prone, would want fat wages and would directly block the path of our most talented youngster. No thanks.

I think Vusko/Danso and VdV/Senesi is a very solid set of CB options going into a season without Europe. And tbh there's still a decent chance we don't even sell Romero if RDZ decides he wants to keep him or we don't get any good offers.
If we're not selling Romero, Vuskovic and Senesi is too many CB's.

Vuskovic is our best player, full stop, he's the best player at the club today.

Add that up and I must say I found the frantic attempts to rehabilitate the Romero situation a bit puzzling.

If they do that, de Zerbi won't see out the season.

He's gone straight into the presser, said it's not acceptable and we need 'first level players'.

Gig's up for ENIC. They need to start buying good fucking players rather than lottery tickets.
Yeah ENIC have no excuses anymore. They gambled massively by not spending in Jan precisely so they could focus spending on the better summer market and Vinai openly said we need to invest more in player salaries.

This window will be the one that shows if they have any intention of doing things differently, of it's just gonna be the same Levy-style nonsense moving forward.

Simple mission: get De Zerbi exactly who he needs. I've no idea who those players are, but for once see this through properly. No half measures. No "it'll take four seasons, must be patient, meanwhile here's a 16 year old" bollocks.

Back the manager.

Personally I hope we move on from Romero and integrate Vuskovic ASAP but who knows what De Zerbi will be thinking? Managers can be weird and unpredictable sometimes - Arteta almost lost Saliba as he kept loaning him out when he was absolutely smashing it in France and every Arse fan was begging him to be integrated. Not beyond the realms Vuskovic gets loaned again.

But yeah, if we were to keep Romero and Vuskovic we'd need to sell Danso to make room and that doesn't really make sense as he's the perfect backup CB.

Seems to me it will be a straight choice between Romero and Vuskovic for De Zerbi next season.

Romero and Dragusin can go. 60m from those two towards a really top quality left back with Robertson as a back up.
I don't understand the Robertson thing at all, and I think it speaks to the fact that we still have idiots running the club, frankly.

Vuskovic should be loan out.

At his age, he needs to be playing 1st team football on a regular basis.
That he does, and he would play first team football on a regular basis for any club in the world.

Luka Vuskovic is our single best player, not next year, not tomorrow, today.

Problem is that he's a hothead who will inevitably fall out with our fuckhead owners

Buying a load of players for him specifically is partly the kind of thing that has got us into this mess

We need to develop a coherent strategy that remains consistent regardless of manager, til that happens we'll continue to drift and lurch from one shit show to another
