Transfers Summer 2026 Transfer Thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Yes, I want us to buy 100m players. I’ve had enough of 60m punts that get injured and aren’t consistent.

And judging Savinho on his production levels as an attacking player, he’s shown nothing to suggest he will become a 100m player either.
We arent buying any 100m players this year

We are beginning a rebuild

RDZ made clear we need to start from the basics, right people etc

Im no great advocate for Savinho, I definitely would like more assured quality in our "bigger" purchases

But we are going to have to balance things this window

Hence why I think Robertson/Sensei could be savvy moves

If we are getting Savinho, we are not going to spend 70m on him - I would think fee is far far lesser than our bid from last time. Anywhere between 40-50m is plausible.

Anywhere in that range for a 22 year old Brazilian proven in La Liga and had 2 goals, 12 assist across 2500 minutes of PL --> is decent fee. One that we could mostly recoup even if he replicates what he did at City.

I don’t think any manager is gonna turn down a deal for Senesi on a free. He’s been one of the best CBs in the league this year and his passing skills suit De Zerbi’s vision of football perfectly.

Most managers will be full of respect for a player like Robertson too. I don’t really see a problem with either.

It's not a "problem" it's just all too convenient, we've been here before with this club haven't we.

I just wish they wouldn't give us this PR crap and tell us that he will play an integral role in target identification and yet we're going for the same players before he came in.

Here’s the thing for me with Savinho, we are still short of the output from Kane, Son, and Kulusevski. Thats the level of attacking talent this club should have.

Savinho has had 2 seasons to show that he’s that level and he’s not shown it. Hes shown that he’d be another ENIC punt.
But we developed both Son and Kane. Their output wasn’t there from day one. Buying in two players who do what they did at their peak is nye on impossible. Those kind of players won’t be interested in us currently.

We have to create that kind of output in the aggregate. Use De Zerbi’s system and coaching talent and a better balanced side to score more.

We should also be looking for players to develop who could step into that kind of role too.

Has it occurred to you the quality of players he’s been providing at City, compared to what he’ll have at Spurs ?

I look at what he did at Girona - What he did at Girona he was not allowed to do at City. There was no space behind to operate. Intricate passing football at edge of opponent box isnt for every winger.

If City are the only team in PL to create chances, then Thiago at Brentford wont be scoring 22 goals.

De Zerbi plays the bait football of most of the work is done by defense & midfield and they find the wingers in space and give them opportunities in 1v1. If we can replicate that next season, a player like Savinho will thrive.

You know, football clubs are capable of addressing more than one issue at a time, and not necessarily in a way you want it either.

And I am pretty sure that a striker is on the list, and maybe giving two promising strikers a chance in Melia and Lankshear.

There’s football clubs, then there’s Tottenham Hotspur 🤣

Whoever that striker is, they have to be of real quality.
Especially if the rest of our attack, isn’t known for scoring goals …

Savinho is the most 'available' LW transfer we can get, only reason we are going for him is because he fills a position of need we've been 'trying' to fill for ages and we have been working on this deal for a while as he's seemingly keen to join, I don't think we're actually taking into account his form over the past 12 months, I'm assuming that the club are bringing him in in the hope that the coach can get something out of him.

My choice would be Ndiaye or Summerville personally, maybe the club and De Zerbi thinks that he has a higher ceiling than them, who knows.

We're gonna have to go through this relegation battle torture again next season aren't we ?
I hear you but I suppose I have faith in RDZ especially with premier League players because he will know them so well and whether they will fit in whatever system he has in mind.

So if he wants savinho, Robertson & Senesi then we absolutely have to get them for him he deserves it. I might not want savinho as I think he's overpriced for what he has done at city but fuck it, RDZ needs to get what he wants

You think the new guy just turns up on his first day without having any prior talks with the club about transfer targets?

Cmon guys whoever it is (looking like this kehl fella) will of had meetings with the club about who they would like to bring in, who the club already have their eyes on etc.
Yeah but Kehl hasn't even got the job yet and we've been linked with half these players for 5+ months. DoFs are often pretty opinionated and don't all fully agree on targets and footballing visions.

Woulda thought a new DoF might want to be in place and sign-off on all the deals, put his own stamp on the club, etc.

Admittedly we haven't actually signed anyone yet so that could still happen, though.

Like usual nobody knows and it's speculative but I do not see how Summerville would be less available than Savinho, neither of whom I think are anything to write home about.

So far below Son's level in every regard, that it's painful. And yes, different times but the contrast.

Kroupi is the obvious one. If we don’t do it now we will be sitting here in 2 seasons asking how could we have missed out? He’s Tel with an end product, or put another way, Greenwood without the baggage.

How on earth so you know. There are literally hundreds of wingers running through Europe and a few of them ready to make the next step with us. It is where our scouting needs to kick in and produce a list of targets.

For CM I would take a close look on Johan Manzambi of Freiburg. Still needs to improve his work off the ball, but you can clearly see he has everything to get to the top of the game. We need to find similiar talent for the front three.
