Other than the manager calling him a warrior and stating that he 100% wanted to keep him.

But, of course, you know that the front office are just ignoring RDZ and JP is talking to Sporting — just some random club — out of frustration.

Fucking illiterate.
You do know that Spurs have an option to buy right?

I haven't seen any news source saying we are taking that option. Can you provide one?

The manager can say what he likes we both know the manager has zero fucking say at who stays or goes at Spurs and its been that way since ENIC took over.

And stop saying everything is illiterate like you've just discovered the word on the shitter this morning...

An option to buy is absolutely meaningless unless the player agrees to sign a fucking contract.

Done with this exchange. I can’t deal with someone this monumentally stupid so early in the day.
That's because you've got nothing. And you are finding your position increasingly untenable.

You can't provide a solid news source that we have even tried or triggered the option to buy because from what I can see there aren't any.
You are working purely on the assumption that the player wants to leave, with no evidence whatsoever to back that.

My advice. Eat a few donuts and drink a coffee and get your blood sugar up.

A couple of reports today suggest that Sporting can’t afford the fee and are looking for a loan with an option.
I can’t see Bayern biting on that. Another loan will only leave 1 year on his contract which will diminish his value greatly if they don’t pick up the option. I think that we’re their best bet for a higher fee but it will still come down to what the player wants.

We'll do what we did with Werner and loan him again.
Or reduce the fee because we ain't in Europe.

Extremely happy we are not signing him, we need to raise the technical quality across the midfield and attack.

No more athletic donkeys running around with little to zero technical quality on the ball like Gallagher.

I agree if that's the case.

Was magnificent for us but we were inexplicably and shamefully fighting relegation.

Our bar must be considerably higher with all due respect to Palnhinha.

I think recency bias is impacting fans views here. I like Pal, but let’s be honest, by January we all wanted him gone.

Then he scored some huge goals, showed great fight and helped save us. But he’s older, slow, and cannot move the ball as quickly as De Zerbi prefers.

Thank you for everything Pal, I hope you have a great finish to your career. But giving him a contract now just seems like rewarding for work done and not preparing for the future.

Think it’s the right call. If he starts losing a bit of agility in the next couple of years those challenges that he’s just about getting right switch and he starts being a fraction late on them and that’s really the big thing he offers.

Always be a cult hero, for what he did this season

Not for me. Was behind the signing and that remained for the whole season. Our player of the season (against no competition to be fair).

There’s probably around fifteen players that played for us last season I’d rather not see play for us again. Palhinha isn’t one of them.

Whilst I appreciate what he did do, whenever I see his name I'm remembering his Chelsea performance when we had a chance to grab an important point.

We wouldn't be buying him for clutch goals so wouldn't give much consideration to them as justification for signing him.

Can we do better for 25-30m? Almost certainly not going by our transfer history, so whatever. I don't trust the leadership to get anything right, so whatever they do is probably wrong.

As always there is speculation about a player without any of us knowing what's actually going on.

There are a few ways to look at any reluctance to trigger the buy option, if that's the case.

30 million considered to be too much, and no sell-on value, so wait and then seek to renegotiate towards a lower fee

We are confident of securing better. Very confident.

De Zerbi has moved past the emotion and notes certain limitations in relation to Palhinha, and how he wants us to play.

Club are already locked in a battle between what De Zerbi wants and what the board are willing to sanction.

Hmmmmm........

3 or 4 yrs younger I'd jump at a deal for £30M,but at his age I'd only pay £10-15M, with only EPL & Cup games not sure where we get full use of him, unless we are in the dodo again

Would be a very sensible decision to not overreact to some good moments from him in a relegation battle. Not a player that really suits RDZ football, or a team wanting to finish in the top 6.
