'Crystal Palace’s valuation is understood to be around £85 million slightly higher than our initial expectations'

When you opening bid is 40 million your 'expectations' are fucked.

:angryscouser:

I mean, pretty fucking stupid if our expectations are anything less than £85m, clearly his reputation and value are at an absolute high right now

Maybe, I think Vuskovic needs to be playing for us, his quality is so good he needs RDZ to bring him through, as loaning him out is just gonna make him want to leave and other teams will benefit from us.

We have to get the best youngsters in the squad and can't keep loaning them out.

Obviously he is highly talented, but still raw and inexperienced

Each loan he has had he has stepped up

I quite like the idea of bringing him in with the intent to play him, but honestly it is something of a gamble

And in a year where we only have guaranteed 40 games, where most of the season will be 1 a week, he may well stillbe left on the bench a lot

In that context, Id rather see him play every week at a club with a decent level

And then next year when were in europe (CL!) he can come into the squad, that bit more ready and experienced, with real opportunity to stake a claim

So while I like the idea of bringing him in, I can see a loan makes sense also

I hope this a sign the club are serious. That the shock of near relegation means they will invest properly.

I hope the end result is the premier league being double sad they didn’t relegate us as we become a serious threat again.

Between Senesi, Van Hecke and VDV our aerial ability is poor, we'd likely to get done on set pieces and corners, will be our weak spot next season I think!

I know, feels like he should be older doesnt it?

However, theres always a question in my mind when a player goes to a lower level league for a while - when they return can they get back up to speed?

Seen a few go to Saudi for example, and return to europe not really being the same player...

And he's spent some of his peak years levels below where he should be

He looked pretty sharp when we played them the season before last

My concern would be he's too mercenary (but then most of them are)
