Transfers Summer 2026 Transfer Thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

All the players linked to us on the information superhighway are shit.

In the unlikely event that a few aren't, they certainly will be if they are stupid enough to join us.

Any transfer fee we pay for anybody will be about ten times too much. However, if someone claims that we didn't sign a player as we deemed the fee to be too much, then that merely proves what penny-pinching small-time cunts we are.

Is that about the long and short of it?

:kanehand:

Yeah. I don't think it's feasible for a PL team to commit to giving a 19 year old with no PL experience a starting role at CB. Maybe the newly promoted teams but even then it's not guaranteed.

Get him to Spain or Italy at a decent mid table side.
I think Ipswich would be perfect for him. McKenna’s a good coach who still tries to play football in the PL.It’s close enough he could check back in with the club too. He’s got enough upside in aerial dominance and set piece threat that they would play him too.

Huijsen came in and started right away but it's unusual. It would be the ideal move if we had some guarantees around his playing time.

I’m still on the “sell everyone” wagon. Tel has had chances. He’s had a couple of seasons and he’s been shite. Get rid. He may well explode into a world class player somewhere else, but that doesn’t mean he would here. All we can do is go by what we’ve seen already and that’s not a pretty picture.

And I don’t particularly care if anyone thinks he’d improve under a new manager. Neither Ange or Frank told him to ping most of his crosses into a different postcode. Doubt RDZ will either. But it’ll still happen.

And taking our improvements under RDZ as evidence he will improve, just think crack to who we played at the end of the season. Mainly dreck. Guys who were scared to tackle in case they dropped their beach towel.

If we persist with this “hey, they’ll be great under a new manager”, we are bang in fucking trouble. Just like when the great sages of TFC said that any manager replacing Ange would make us better. Utter nonsense.
We’d have been relegated without him.
He’s amongst the best ball strikers in the squad; and his crossing, on the whole, is excellent.
And (unlike others) has shown on more than one occasion that he can rise against adversity.

I think we’ll regret it if we sell him.
