Why are we insufferable? Get a new mate, nobody gives a fuck about Hull other than how to get the hell out of there.

:pochsmirk:

The J-thing is definitely a thing but it's certainly not the only thing.
b
People love a bandwagon and for some reason it's only clubs from London, specifically North London, that are seen as the 'banter' clubs. It's really strange to me, Everton gone 31 years and counting without a trophy but nary gets a mention, Leeds who are historically one of the most clubs in the country are almost viewed as a romantic underdog, then there's Newcastle whose fans act as if they're the biggest thing going yet have ONE proper trophy in 70 years.

But yeah, the J-thing has nothing to do with it.

Why is Woolwich so hated?
Why Liverpool?
Why United in the 90s?
Leeds were an absolute laughing stock when they were relegated..... every fan found it fucking hilarious. Doing a Leeds is still used to take the piss out of relegated clubs today.

And then think why no one in the last 20 years gives a shit about Everton or Newcastle??

People feel sorry for them - completely different to us - a team that dared to break through to the top 4/5/6 have a sustained period up there, regularly start beating all the teams that thought they were better than us.

I dont think its the J-thing.

I think its the fact we dare to try.

Everton are losers, fallen giant, and maintain being shit. Similarly Leeds etc. Nobody cares, theyre just nostalgia.

We, however, have had the audacity to TRY. We have built ourselves up from being an Everton/Leeds to knocking on the door at the top. By ourselves, as well, not via doping*.

And that cant be accepted.

I remember speaking to a West Ham fan. Had a few beers, were getting along famously, until he said "who do you support?", and when I told him his whole demeanor changed. I asked him what the problem was, and his answer?

"You [Spurs] think youre better than you are"

My immeidate thought was, what business is that of yours? But his response is the whole issue in a nutshell, IMO.

*Chelsea, City? Who even gives a fuck about them? Nothing they do matters.

Anyway, ain't you a Gooner? Why are you even on here?

Pardon???

Are you 5 years old?

He hates us cos we always beat them, and he thinks our fans whine too much

Why don't you go back into class and find a fan from those teams and ask them.

Twat

Your mate sounds as much of a cunt as you, no wonder why he hates the club you supposedly support.

So Woolwich and Chelsea don't always beat Hull? Next season he'll be hating on the entire PL as everyone is going to smash them.

Twat.

He hates them too.

You clearly missed your nap today, bro - or are you hangry cos you didn't have lunch cos you were playing in the playground?

Either way - thanks for getting involved with your increible insights.

You're allowed to say "Jew/Jewish" it's ok!
...I don't THINK that's an offensive word.... Unless, it is now?

You only have to look at the Political threads on here to see the anti Israel comments. This is from Spurs supporters. Now I know that anti Israel is not anti Jews or anti semitic but are others so discerning but just see us as the Jewish club and hate us any way for what is going on in Gaza.

It is not the main reason we are hated by other fans,

people feel that way about jews, feel that way about jews

95%+ of fans don't like us because of football rivalry - they also don't like other teams too

Explain to me why every single football fan in the country wanted arsneal to fail at winning the league this year?

Explain to me why we have threads about hating most other teams in the big 6 on here?
I feel an undercurrent of antisemitism in a lot of places - don't get me wrong - and it is used by people who are clearly pretty racist or anstisemetic as a tool to beat us with - but I personally do not see it as a reason people were happy to see us go down this season.

ANy other of the big 6 in our position this season and it would have been the same
We really arent the most hated club -
if we are hated differently, then so is everyone else -

And if you are asking me why racists and or anti-semites are too stupid to chant anti-semetic shit at Woolwich, then I think the answer is in the question.

Your assertion is that we are hated by other teams because of our connections to the NWL Jewish community.

This is a false assertion.

Why dont you ask a fan of those clubs- my mate is a Hull fan - he hates us because we used to smash them when we played them, and he finds our fans insufferable.
I don't think most of the hate comes from anti semitism but I don't think many people realise how rife the anti semetic chants were right up until social media properly took off and a magnifying glass was put on everything

You would have the whole away end of Chelsea and west ham making hissing noises and singing spurs are on their way to Auschwitz. Seems crazy now but it was just the norm not that long ago

Also had Newcastle fans singing it on the train once to WHL and no one said anything
Put ANY of the other 91 football club badges on this piece of shit Nazi-style Propaganda cartoon, and tell me it would makes sense?

There's literally NO other club to whom THIS could be directed at except us:

Oooh, look at that white shirt... plenty of clubs play in a white kit, they could be anyone... yet it doesn't exactly scream Bolton Wanderers, Preston North End or Leeds Utd, does it?
I wonder why that is???

I'm sorry dudu dudu I know you're just making your point, and I'm making mine (and we're both probably in the wrong thread TBF, but I started this bit, so I guess I have to own it)
I genuinely feel the association with Spurs and Jews has - especially in the current climate - added to the already rising dislike of us as a club/Fanbase, for ALL the other reasons you've rightfully stated.

It's a factor, but it's an important factor.

Like blaming a woman who chooses to wear a short skirt for being sexually harassed...
.. it's totally missing the point, and failing to address to true, deeper more uncomfortable problem in Society.

Thass all.

All good, bro - we can disagree -

The guy who posted this is an anti-semite - he has cross-associated his hatred of jews with Spurs because of a real association.

Most fans do not hate us for this reason, though in my opinion, I do not believe it is the driver behind it for most fans of other teams.

They really ARE covering this parade like a National Holiday and Royal Wedding all in one!

I can't say what the coverage was for OUR parade cos I was there, rather than watching on TV, but I know they started the estimate at 100,000 when in reality it was 250,000

Seems like today,SKY are reporting the entire 8.4million population of London are there, when in reality, I imagine it's more like 3-400k... But MILLION? Maybe...
I dunno, not having a dick measuring contest with them, but I'm SO glad I don't live en route!

I know it sounds petty, but THIS is the kind of subtle negative spin we've had to deal with for years:
Just the headline, the instant negative put into what should be a positive story...
"Dream blocked..." Forced to change his preferred number..."

It really shouldn't (nor doesn't) matter but it's there nonetheless.

Bored of it now.
They literally can't be happy for anything to do with Spurs...

Compare it to when James Milner left Liverpool for Brighton (ironically under de Zerbi at the time, so he's clearly got previous!)
The report couldn't be happier for him, or Brighton!

Weird
