Transfers Summer 2026 Transfer Thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I’m of the opinion that we should be targeting Lacroix from Crystal Palace instead of Van Hecke.

It would bring a lovely balance to the back 4, and we can play Van De Ven LB:

Porro (passer)
Lacroix (Athlete)
Senesi (passer)
Van de Ven (athlete)

Flexible & Versatile, whilst both sides are taken care of in terms of build up.

Considering he is clearly a De Zerbi target and top choice, we have to pay the money. If it's 50 million so be it.

Yup. Brighton know how much De Zerbi wants Van Hecke. They know the fuss he will make if Spurs back out. They have the leverage and Spurs probably just have to pay up.

It’s one of those transfers like Van Dijk to Liverpool. If you want the player enough, that’s more important than the money

Who is the best striker available , that is genuinely get able
Everyone will have completely different opinions on that
I’m sure there are people who know their stuff
But doesn’t seem a great amount of options out there
It’s really slim picking and the grass always seems greener.

IMO it’s either a loan move for Endrick, where you address the situation next summer, or Nicholas Jackson.

I’m pretty sure than everyone else is a step sideways from Richarlison and Solanke.

So what do people value Van Hecke at then?

Brighton know they can drive a hard bargain because he has other suitors and he's our first choice

I think for this one you just have to pay the money.
Depends on what Van Hecke wants. If he only wants Spurs it lessens the strength of Brighton’s hand.

He also has a year left so Brighton can posture as much as they want, are they willing to let his value plummet in September?

Richarlison has to go.

He's a fucking donkey. I'd sooner pull a striker's name out of a tombola.
He’s a terrible footballer and all his athleticism has gone - yet he still reached double figures (no pens) on the least creative team in the league.

Ideally I’d keep Richy in a backup role and take the risk of selling Solanke, who whilst is a far better footballer, is just never there to sniff out chances.

You keep him you have to offer him a new deal which would be a disastrous idea. His physicality is not gonna get better. If anything he looks a candidate for a hip replacement in the next couple of years.

I’m not a club accountant. So it doesn’t bother me what the fee is.

I’ve never sat watching the guys thinking about their transfer fee. Whether they’re free or £60m. It literally makes no difference to my life. 😂

They have to think how much fuss Van Hecke will make if we back out as well, it cuts both ways. Do they want a season with a player who wants to be somewhere else anchoring their defence?

Rolling 1 year contract.
Fit/available for X percentage of season, automatically renews.
Gives both parties an easy way out.
He's useful. Unlike many other players we have.

If of course he wants out, let him go without a fight.
