NEWS: Jan Paul van Hecke is out. It's Spurs and only Spurs. The Oranje international is awaiting agreement between Brighton & Hove Albion and Tottenham Hotspur, but is no longer speaking with any other club. Personal terms agreed. More to follow @VI_nl ⚪🇳🇱🚨

De Zerbi has amazing pull it seems, isn't it kinda funny that Mbeumo and Norgaard didn't want to go anywhere near Frank, speaks volumes.

If your scouting team knows their shit, they don't have just Van Hecke on their radar. He ain't the only solid defender, be it in the PL or abroad.

Say we don't get him for whatever reasons, I'm honestly fine with Micky, Senesi, Kev, Vusko and Ben as our CB options. If De Zerbi decides to send Vusko back out on loan, then keep Ash and see what he's got. Young Jun'ai can help out with a few cameos here & there, as can Pally & Archie.

Big money should be spent on attacking players first, cause they're all either injured or shite...some being both.
You might be fine with it but what matters is what RDZ wants.
Clearly he sees Van Hecke as the perfect option for his system. We apparently bid 40 and they want 50 so a deal is there to be made. No point immediately letting RDZ down over a few mil and giving him the second or third choice.

He has earned some backing after rescuing the club.

van Hecke is to De Zerbi what Bastoni was to Conte. Both defenders the manager really wants, that fit his system to a tee and would improve the backline massively , but rather than pay the price and give the manager what he wants, he’ll get the bargain bin alternative. Be interesting to see who this season’s Lenglet is.

It’s just fucking Groundhog Day with these owners, it’ll never change, they promise new managers the earth to get them to come in, then fuck them over once the manager’s held up their end of the bargain.

Should we have a sweepie on what month De Zerbi will crack and call out the board In the media?

To Dare is too dear.
I think you're going a bit early with the transfer window meltdown mate.
All the signs seem to point to both Hecke and Savinho getting done soon, so let's at least keep the toys in the pram until the window actually opens?

This hopefully puts the pressure on Brighton to stop being delusional and just accept this bid. Clearly leaked by his agent to push the deal along.

Van Hecke is not my favourite defender ever but it’s obvious how he fits with RDZ and he’s been the #1 target for him. Just get the deal done and build from there.

Maybe a few of us have bought and sold houses and have fought over a grand or two.
Just dismissing "a few million" is not realistic.

I bet it’s actually this

Ordonez is Ecuadorian, Brighton previously had fellow Ecuadorians Caceido and Estupinan. Also they have been linked to Ordonez

A Brighton and Hove Albion offer for Club Brugge defender Joel Ordoñez ‘does not seem inconceivable’ this summer.

That’s according to Voetbal Nieuws, who can easily see the Seagulls making their move for the 20-year-old in the coming months

A report this week stated that Brighton had been busy scouting Ordoñez this week, watching him in Brugge’s impressive win over Atalanta in the Europa League

They are one of several Premier League teams reportedly interested but appear to be edging to the front of the queue for the defender.

He’s expected to move on in the coming months, with Voetbal Nieuws reporting that the cash register could be ringing for Brugge in the summer given the performances of their players on Europe’s biggest stage this season.

Ordoñez is one of those in the spotlight and it ‘does not seem inconceivable’ that Brighton will make a bid at some point.

They have a ‘good argument’ convince him to as they can point to the fact that fellow Ecuadorian Moises Caicedo enjoyed his big breakthrough with the Seagulls before moving to Chelsea.

Ordoñez is likely to cost considerably move than he did but the prospect of the Seagulls making a bid is becoming increasingly likely.
