Transfers Summer 2026 Transfer Thread

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

You would think that MGW had a release clause inserted when he signed his new deal last summer though. He was a ball hair away from joining us, so obviously doesn’t see himself there long term. He’d have been stupid to sign away the prime years of his career with no get out clause.

He had a get-out clause and still wasn't allowed to move so he knows that it's completely pointless including one with Marinakis in charge

Alex Crook is a fuckwit with zero info on Spurs transfers

He’s regurgitated an old article about Van Hecke being “70m rated” then added in other news about bids being rejected and pretended that he has information on the transfer.

I fckn hate that chubby weasel with everything I have,

The typical southern manc, glory following little plastic twat that thinks cause he literally just picked a good team he can be a rude cunt to massive institutions like Tottenham Newcastle etc etc.

Complete wanker. He also once reported a twitter joke as a story from ‘one of sources’

Complete childish wanker

Guessing it says something like "you can leave NFFC over my dead body" or something to that effect.

If true thats a great deal for us in the end.

Another waste of money he was lol
And time. And squad space.

I mean, after last summer, would he?

If he did it would have to be absolutely bulletproof

tldr: Thinks we need more of a passer, thats not Scott, who is more like what we already have

Yep. I've been saying this for weeks. He's another ball carrier to add to the ones we already have. Him in and Sarr out for example doesnt really do much except improve on one position. We need a player who can pass the ball. Go all out for Wharton and hope our medical team dont make his leg fall off.

We really have a fetish for centre backs these days. I’m all for us signing top young talent, but surely van Hecke, Senesi, VDV & Danso with Vuskovic waiting in the wings is enough for the foreseeable future no? And we haven’t even sold Romero or Dagusin yet. I wonder if De Zerbi also wants Danso sold as well as those two, maybe not good enough on the ball for his liking.

We really need to be spending big up top instead. We’ll have a Fortnum & Mason defence with a Poundland front line.

Maybe it's because he can play RB, and possibly an upgrade on Djed and Porro, as one of these could be off.

Funny thing on this.

When we signed Tel, Ange was asking the board for Delap as a striker option with Solanke because Richy was broken.

At the time everyone was sure that the Chavs got the better player. Now you’d probably say on balance that Tel is shading it but both have been underwhelming and might need to move and play more.

If I was betting I’d say long term Tel will have the better career wherever they both end up

I don’t really rate Tel but I’d agree. Delap was good for Ipswich but a bit of a battering ram for a very limited side might be his ceiling. His technique is too clunky to do it for a top side.

He’s been an absolute fucking mess at Chelsea, granted they’re a mess and I think he’s better than he’s shown, but he can barely control a football.
Delap has only been good playing in a hoofball side at Ipswich. Any club that wants to control possession is not going to have any use for him.

I dont think it matters who wants MGW, if Anderson goes I dont see Forest selling him

They may not have a choice. MGW is contracted to June 2028, so 2 years left. If he doesn't extend further, then they'll only see his value drop significantly.

I feel that the fact he only extended for 1 year is indicative of him wanting out, and he only signed that extension under threat of legal action from the chubby Bubble. He's also missed out on a WC call up which, after his last season with Forest, MUST be making him think that his international aspirations would be better served at a bigger club.

IMO, the extension was just a stay of execution. Now, it's more a question of who he goes to rather than when.
