Competition World Cup 2026

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

There was no attempt at humor in my post — just a dig at an asshole who thinks he should wear a bullet-proof vest ‘cos he’s in America — a place he thinks is Nazi Germany yet he visits.

Violent crime doesn’t affect all communities equally.
Stating that plain fact isn’t belittling anyone.

I’m not going to listen to idiots that think Danville is equivalent to the worst neighborhoods in Baton Rouge as they use the blanket term ‘America’.
There’s a greater likelihood of being murdered in Haringey than where I live.

There's the violence within communities, but also the violence projected outward on other peoples around the world. Between the two, I maintain the US is full of a great many violent and ignorant people.

He’s an awful human being, an absolute shitbag but I hate it when he’s compared to Hitler by morons like Spaniel Spaniel . It only serves to normalize / trivialize Hitler, which might be this idiot’s goal.

Taken from someone else:
Within a year of coming to power, Hitler suspended civil liberties including freedom of speech and association. empowered himself to enact laws without parliamentary approval, abolished trade unions and banned all political opposition.

Then he went on to murder 13 million people or more.

Trump? Complete cockwomble but none of the above.
Trump has had comedians taken off TV...freedom of speech my arse! He's getting his billionaire mates to buy up all the media etc

I’m not pretending that the US is a beacon of shining light. We do some bad stuff outwardly because we can. They don’t do bad stuff because they can’t. Britain blew its load in 1957(?) .

For all our faults and there are plenty, there are still millions of people trying to get in not out. Thanks to the U.S, my family lives here now (and in a relatively free, prosperous democracy elsewhere) and not under one of the worst regimes on the planet. When I visit the military cemetery in our ‘home city’, I bear that in mind

Yeah, Trump’s FCC Chairman Brendan Carr threatened Disney with regulatory action over Kimmel and his show was temporarily suspended.
Jimmy Fallon and Seth Meyers are still broadcasting despite Trump calling for them to be axed. I’m not sure who watches them.
Worse is him using the DoJ as a private firm to selectively go after his perceived enemies.
Thankfully though, no U.S. citizen has been sentenced to 31 months for a hurty-word tweet.
Physician, heal thyself.

*Colbert...also the 31 months was for someone trying to arrange a mass murder of asylum seekers.by torching a hotel.

Nope - Gun culture doesn't bother me - I have a firearms license go caly pidgeon shooting in Brighton sometimes...

Whenever I'm in the states or a place that has a gun range I'm always there for a few hours - I'm huge fan of the SMLE my grandfather RIP taught me how use one to hunt rabbits...
Shooting is great fun. I've fired a lot of rounds in my life and it never gets old. A gun is not an evil thing, humans are evil things.

Well, the second part of that is a total lie, dude, although I’m sure it’s been hashed elsewhere on this site . If you want to take it up, you can DM me.

If Colbert had actually made money then he’d still be on TV. His show lost tens of millions and he wasn’t worth the fight. Bottom line is always the bottom line. Saw the show a bunch of times when visiting — friend used to throw me tickets and I usually stayed around the corner.

I think the world cup has given the Brits a shock and realisation to how far behind the UK is in terms of pay. The UK bar London is poorer than the poorest state in US, Louisiana.

Tickets are expensive. But wages are 2x or 3x higher in the US. That 20 dollar beer, is a 10 dollar beer to the people that live there. Expensive, but not astronomical like it appears to a Brit.

True, although the actual poorest in the US are completely fucked. No healthcare, barely any essential services, v.limited public transport - all the stuff even the poorest people in the UK take for granted.

If you're well off or on an above average salary in the States, your quality of life is generally much better than in the UK, but I'd much, much rather be poor in the UK than in the USA.

A 20 dollar béer is outrageous wherever you are. I could go to the cutest hipster bars in San Francisco and pay half that.

A pint in London is the same price.

Daylight robbery is daylight robbery

Somalia is on the U.S. list of banned countries for immigration already, so I dont know why its technically a massive deal, it was known point, its not out of the blue... Plus all the rampant fraud in Minnesota its no surprise.

Kinda a massive deal because the ref is going there to do a job and referee a WC match, not to blow up the fucking White House.

FIFA have the right to step in and overturn the decision just like they did when Indonesia banned Israel from the U20 tournament and ended up stripping their hosting rights.

I think this touches on the real issue which is that now we can see so much football, and the level of competition in the Champion's League being higher than that of the World Cup makes the latter less interesting.

Even the World Cup itself is overexposed in my opinion, with the expansion adding a lot of really unserious games.

Everything related to football has been diluted to extract the maximum amount of cash and force you to pay attention longer and more intensely and there's only so much excitement a person can muster
Yes there are too many unserious games. Too many matches which wont have any influence on the competition. Champions League is the same.

We can also see it in the PL, where a round often is stretched over 4 days, from friday night to monday night, and no top team playing on saturday.

BBC pundits on who they think will win it

Who will win the 2026 World Cup? Total votes

France (9):
Scott Brown, Gael Clichy, Rachel Corsie, Olivier Giroud, Danny Murphy, Paul Robinson, Tony Pulis, Alan Shearer & Chris Sutton

England (7): Thomas Frank, Joe Hart, Steph Houghton, Martin Keown, Wayne Rooney, Sue Smith & Ellen White

Spain (1): Micah Richards

I do wish some other nations would get involved in calling out this farce

Not a single ball has rolled on the pitch yet, and this is the picture of the 2026 WORLD CUP:
• The teams from Senegal and Uzbekistan were treated like criminals upon arrival, with full searches of their orifices.
• Africa's best referee was sent back to Somalia, despite his diplomatic passport.
• The Iraqi team's photographer was barred from entry even with a valid visa.
• Entry to the US was denied to 90% of Moroccan fans who had already purchased tickets.
• Visas were refused to 14 members of Iran's support staff.
• Entry to the country was denied to Switzerland's main striker, the Cameroonian Breel Embolo. The team traveled without him. After the strong backlash, the visa was finally granted.
• The Iranian team, whose matches will all be in the US, was banned from overnighting in the country. Immediately after each game, the athletes will fly back to Mexico, where they are staying.
- What's the point of hosting the World Cup if they don't intend for the WORLD to be part of it???

Spain being short shifted here in my opinion. Bit shocked with all three for me.

.Scotland fans refused entry after initially being approved?

We’re not winning it. We’ll do well make the semi’s this time I think. We have a much better chance in a couple of years time in the Euros. There’s only France and Spain I would say are above us in Europe and you can beat either on a really good day.

Her post read: "Mass deportation now, set fire to all the f****** hotels full of the b******* for all I care… if that makes me racist so be it."
