They have sold a whole bunch of average to decent players for a vast amount of money.

It seems to me that they were over performing due to the influence of their manager:pochsmirk:

As Joe Clash Joe Clash said, as long as they spend it wisely they will be fine..
I bet their owner is over the moon with the past few weeks.

My god, how many players have they lost?

This seems shocking. Straight back down into the Championship, I reckon.

I suspect they will be alright. It's a risky business selling the core of their squad, and there will certainly be a few more departures but with the money coming in they will have more funds to invest. The board have probably estimated the impact of the players leaving versus the transfer fees and league position impact.

The bigger problem that they - and Liverpool - will have is integrating this many new faces into a club in the same season, like we did last year.

Meanwhile we have been caught with our pants down again: What odds would have been given that when Poch signed for us none of his players would follow him, despite their stated idealistic worship of him.!

What if they'd all signed for us? What THEN?

I'd like to think that is down to us not willing to pay the ridiculous prices their average/decent players have gone for.
Southampton have shafted Liverpool because they knew Liverpool had money to burn.

Liverpool will soon realise that the players they have signed wont be as affective at a big club where the pressure is immense.
