Berahino is a top player, let's be honest if we had him we would want £30 million minimum to sell so if it goes to £20 million that's a good deal.

Aside from stats anyone who doesn't think he is class watch some of his games, he is like the player Defoe should have been.

Completely OT but I got bored and went on a mini internet mission to find out about our friend Jamie Sanderson at the Metro. Yes, he of wanky haircut fame and lord of the completely false transfer speculation click-bait dressed up as fact. Just seeing the sheer amount of ridiculous headlines here makes my eyes want to contract AIDS http://metro.co.uk/author/jamie-sanderson-ukmetro/page/2/
He's also a massive gooner, which by looking at him you could have guessed on your own.

Anyway, I saw that his twitter account has been inactive for a year and half, bar the occasional tweet to people asking if they can use a picture for the Metro. That's when I came across this story about some brass who nobbed the Toure bros and then sold her story because Yaya 'only gave her a 10 quid tip. :angryscouser:
Her twitter timeline is astonishing. https://twitter.com/EbonyFlora

Also, not sure how that story never got brought up here. Or did I just miss the thread?

hahahaha, i just went through her whole timeline

I dont get your view.

As a fan, should I demand we needed to outbid Liverpool and offer 38M for Benteke, and 25M for Ings.....or perhaps that we should put in a 70M bid for Aguero?

The whole time knowing that my demands are nonsensical, but because Im just a fan, and shouldnt worry about what the club should be realistically doing, my demands are ok?

I really dont understand.
Ok. I`ll try and explain.
If Berahino is the player Pochettino wants, and he costs 25million, as a fan I would rather see us pay the 25million than spend 6million on a third choice alternative. I would not be going to bed at night worrying about us doing a Leeds or a Portsmouth as a result. When I go to WHL, I like to see a winning team on the pitch. That gets me excited. Studying our balance sheet and calculating what we can and cannot spend to reach the magical net figure of zero doesn`t quite get me off in the same way. I reckon most fans of most teams probably feel the same way.

Tend to agree, if we get a second rate alternative we might as well not buy at all and instead play one of our kids.

It's not even cost efficient as the player comes, fails then we lose money on them selling them on.

The other issue is how much we could piss off the other club bidding a stupid amount. £15 million is a below market offer, not insulting but not far off. If you are really interested in a player you have to be in the same ball park to start with.

It's why we never have a complete team, under Redknapp we were so close to a complete side but never strengthened our weaknesses sufficiently.

If Levy does pull off Berahino, Werner and Kramer which will require bidding a decent amount I feel he will have learned from past mistakes although I expect him to bid about £5 million lower on each target and fail. Perhaps I am too cynical but would be shocked if West Brom except £15 million.

So no mention was made of a transfer to Tottenham, yet it's "bizarre" that we haven't made a bid?

Wouldn't that be more bizarre if we HAD made a bid?

Also, if there wasn't any talk about a transfer to Spurs...........then how does he know that no bid has been made
