He's basically implying they aren't good enough. This would be like a striker saying if i had more creative players behind me i'd be scoring more goals. Our midfielders are liabilities, especially Dier who's errors often lead to us conceding.

Manchester united has zero shots at goal while Bentaleb and Dier were our DMs. MS and co got lucky. Some bad passing from Bentaleb is not going to turn me against him.

They were cramping up, crying and being subbed for exhaustion.

Schneiderlin NEVER bested Spurs in the prem. EVER. We fucked him up every time and the best he ever got in the prem was a draw.

For him to FINALLY beat us in the league, we needed to score an own goal and he had to play at old trafford surrounded by a billion dollars worth of players.

Dembele pushed his shit in at Old Trafford. Lucky fucking merc.

Ironically the last time Southampton beat us in the prem was before he joined.

I don't disagree with your point, but i don't think Toby was trying to either. He was simply stating that the CM pairing in the Saints lineup focused on shielding and protecting the defense as a first, second and third priority. Were we better front to back and did we win? Yes. But that stems from a number of factors. I don't think any of us will deny that a quality CM focused primarily on protecting the back would improve our defenders and allow our creative players the ability to express themselves more in the final third knowing they had that protection behind them.

I know somebody who'd agree ... :sandroscream:

I assume Austin is a non starter due to wages ? Otherwise why is he less value at £15 million. Berahino has a poor reputation behavior wise & certainly is no better behaved than Austin ( who I don't know much about )

Maybe we should try to buy Victor Anichebe from WBA instead, they have 4 or 5 strikers, we only have 1 and only have Magic Beans or a Cow to offer for any others

Honestly, this behavior reputation that's linked with Berahino is really stretched, exaggerated, and media-targeted. I mean, how many times have his own manager and teammates publicly supported him? Hell, his own teammates (that some were rumored to have fallen out with him) had selected him as WBA's poty!

I'm not targeting this towards you, but some people just seem to think Berahino will cause all sorts of issues at our club. But fear not ... especially because with a coach like Poch around and many u21 England teammates, I think Berahino will be in very safe and good hands.

Anichibe is shite with an injury record worse than Wilshire

Austin seems more likely than Saido. Bolasie also said that he wants to leave Crystal Palace. Since we need a striker more than a winger (since we just got one) and Austin can't be that expensive. I think that Austin should be our main priority.

I think that Berahino is quite likely because West Brom have already said that they need to sell players, because the transfer has been odds on at the bookies for weeks and because we've publicly made a bid. Poch has been very public about how he expects a striker to be sorted soon, Berahino must be the one otherwise we'd have already signed Austin

Its ironic that the emergence of Kane has probably set us back years in trying to sign top players.

Levy will see a Kane in every single 12yr old that walks through our door now.

Yep Har

Yep Harry Kane has no doubt set is back years I wish he'd never played for us.

If we can sign Berahino and Song then I'd be happy with our business this window. Also wouldn't mind Austin but can't see us signing both.

[formation=4123, Vorm, Trippier, Dier, Wimmer, Davies, Mason, Alli, Dembele, Townsend, Berahino, Lamela][/formation]

SONG?!?!?!

Plus every 30million target he will be haunted by Lamela, Soldado, Bent, Bentley, we have never spent big money well apart from bigish on Modric

Same goes for us though, I think we are all a bit mentally stung by the magnificent 7 and would prefer to only spend real money in the premier league, like with Schneiderlin or Berahino

Personally, I have never been as bored watching Tottenham.

We play utterly horrid football.

After a full season I'm still none the wiser as to what Pochettino is trying to achieve. It's fucking terrible.

Careful Ron!

All the sense you've just posted will mean that all the Pooch apologists will call you a melt!

Apparently you're not allowed to criticise the team or the manager but to continue shelling out good money watching crap without saying anything!

:lennon:

So if this guy actually has it right this time. Would we not pay the same for Berahino that we did for Soldado? Berahino English and Premier League proven.
