Match ****Frankfurt v Anges Blue & White Army **** 8pm Thursday 17th of April

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

I think we should have taken the hit to get rid of Ange after Sunday. How this game has fallen with the 2nd leg away honestly U can't make it up. Went to the game Sunday and no way are some playing for him anymore and to think this game means he loses his job tells me I can't see the players that up for it.

Difficult to imagine this team and more specifically this manager pulling this off, let us not forget the trip to Galatasary debacle, where 7-2 would not have flattered them in the slightest.

It feels to me like we have already lost this with lots of talk today about Ange being a dead mean walking I think he knows that also. All this before our biggest game of the season is so bad. Just all feels so sad before a ball has even gets kicked again.

So we will have

Vicario, Kinsky, Spence, Porro, Danso, Romero, VDV, Davies, Udogie, Bentancur, Bergvall, Gray, Sarr, Maddison, Kulusevski, Son, Odobert, Solanke, Richarlison, Moore, Bissouma, Johnson and Tel available.

I know that isn’t a champions League squad but it should be more than enough to make a very competitive fight for this game as well as win a few games till end of season. There is no one there remotely of Harry Kane level but it does have a lot of 7/10 players and that should be enough to make a good crack of it.

For the first leg I said the second goal would be most important as I correctly assumed Frankfurt would score first and that if we didn't score the second it would effectively be over... For this leg I'm going for the first goal... if we can do the impossible and actually score first then confidence will lift and we might just do it. If Frankfurt open the scoring then it could get ugly very quickly which means Mondays game will be absolute prime time.

I think some of the posts and no doubt elsewhere go further than critical. Mistakes are always criticised and weak players but I do not think any player is not criticised at present. Romero for instance is World class and a World Cup winner rated by Messi as the best defender in the world. Yes he made mistakes that led to goals earlier in the season and again at the weekend but we really should be keeping him and yet there will be some pleased to see him go.
In Romero's case, nobody doubts Romero's talent, I just doubt how much Romero gives a fuck about Spurs. If we had a commited Romero I'd want him to stay forever. As it stands I think he's checked out and I'd be pleased to see him replaced with a defender of lower quality who gives his all.

It's not personal.

Odds on us giving up a chance inside 45 seconds?

It’s not just the opposition on Thursday, it’s that they will have a big vocal backing making it intimidating. We saw how our players wilted out in turkey earlier in this competition.

Not so sure about this winning mentality that ange wanted to install 18 months ago..,,,

Their fans were brilliant last Thursday. Heaven knows how much louder it will be in 2 days time.

At this stage I can't blame any player for mentally checking out at Spurs. It's the club's culture.

Romero is clearly a natural winner who will give his all but I suppose the reserve eventually runs dry when you realise "oh wait, the chairman/owners don't give a fuck about winning they are signing 18 year olds from lower leagues".

Yes you should maintain a level of professionalism but it's unrealistic to not expect a drop off once that culture takes hold.
