It's been a season of great moments but lacking consistency. Considering the age of our squad and that our first year manager has a system that previous players have said takes a year to fully adapt to it would stand to reason that next season could bring increased consistency. Of course, we need help at the boardroom level as well.

Look at those "moments" the majority of them consist of incidents at the end of the game rather than performances.

Also worth noting a game against a two bob side in a competition people sneer at is currently in 3rd place.

I think that's mainly because of the entertainment factor of that Tripolis game rather than it being a particularly remarkable result.

Sheffield United away was the clear winner for me. The atmosphere throughout was superb, it was snowing hard, cracking old school ground with a decent home atmosphere too. It just felt like something from the more innocent, more fun and more real 80s/90s before the CL took over. Celebrations were immense, if slightly scary in the upper tier: there was nearly an avalanche.

As silly as it sounds, that was the highlight of my season last year.

The feeling when the third flew in.

:eriksenlol:
Same here. I'm sure it would have been the 2-1 United game had I been there, but only watched that one on telly and was at West Brom, so...yep, my highlight too, on the pitch that is (just remembered that was also the season of Tromso away, which would be my off the pitch highlight).

The enjoyment from a game does not have to mean beating the best teams in the league.

Asteras I could not stop smiling all game. It was great. Sheffield, we scored an equalizer against a league 1 side. It was unbelievable.

Obliviously Chelsea / Woolwich games were great mind.

The one I went most mental for was the winner against Spam. The Gooners was glorious but we were dominating the game so to be honest I almost knew it was coming.

Spam was 96th minute, penalty call "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" then the miss "YOU FUCKING F-" then the goal "I LOVE YOU AFUDAKBEKUBREABKURBEAU"
Hate to break it but we didn't win that game

Sitting right by the pikey pricks, celebrating like they've won the treble that equaliser felt fucking glorious mate.

also the 2 v 1 against the goon scum was a personal highlight for me, as i was travelling around thailand for 6 weeks and had a bike crash the night before. luckily was able to stumble down to the nearest sports bar whilst sipping my 50p changs, made the pain alot more bearable when that header went in. Hearing a handful of yids go ape shit in a glory hunting country made me feel proud as i danced the night away surrounded by fit birds with massive hands and feet :nawty:

Strange thing about football is that, IMO, a last minute equaliser to clinch a poor home draw against West Ham can feel more euphoric and more enjoyable than a flawless performance and a 4-0 win against a better team.

Spot on. Bravo.

If I only had to pick one moment, it would be Harry's winner against Woolwich. Apart from the Chelsea game and the NLD, I've also chosen Harry's penalty against West Ham. I've only picked the games that I actually attended - would have probably chosen the Sheff U game, if I had.

Ever present at home in the league this year so will choose Woolwich and Chelsea obviously.
Only did one proper 'away' that being Sheffield United. Giant allocation, cheap tickets, proper atmosphere, top city, late 'winner' - what's not to like?
I do wish I was at the Asteras game but money is tight and I make a decision not to do those games at the moment. It's always the risk that I miss something special.
Next season I will have to miss a few homes in all probability, already got inconsiderate cunts planning weddings and stag dos during the season!! I'll try and balance it out with a couple of proper away trips.

I don't mean this to sound cynical... but I reckon Levy has 2-3 victory aims in a season, beat Arse/Chelsea/Both (for the obvious reasons) and win the last home game of the season (for the feelgood factor... plus it's Membership/ST renewal time!) Other than that, I don't think he gives a toss as long as the books balance!
This season, we have achieved all THREE. All good then!
