Spence has certainly not being playing better than Porro or Udogie who have arguably been our best players in our last 4 European ties.
And starting every Premier League game is hardly being "dropped".
And I've always been a Porro sceptic but he's levels ahead of Spence on current exposed form. You're being ridiculous.
He was absolutely shite today. And he's been shite since a fantastic run after being re-introduced. I can blame Ange for loads of things but this guy probably isn't one of them. He's had issues with multiple managers. That interview he did came far too soon and spoke to a person who had allowed his ego to be inflated far too quickly.
He has all the tools. On paper our most complete fullback with his physicality especially. But he switches off when he's not motivated by proving a point.
No doubt Spence has looked like crap recently - But then every single one of our players seems to get worse and worse the longer they are exposed to Ange's "coaching" and tactics - Coincidence? ... and not surprising Porro/Destiny have looked better playing against Bodo Gimp than Spence playing against real opponents in the EPL with our second team.
Switches off when not motivated? Tell me who doesn't? We're 17th but i'm sure everyone's super motivated.
He's the one who's actually shown some motivation this season, so how is it relevant whether he had issues with some manager in the past. It doesn't make it right to treat him like this.
A team of favorites with a manager who has just barely figured out how to play long ball football. Must be tough for players like Spence and Gray, who have both had very good runs, to be benched several key games in a row after making good contributions.
Why should he be unmotivated? He did fuck all for 2 years, then gets his chance and has a few good games. He then gets rotated out of the team (or dropped if you want to call it that). When he’s back in, he plays like he doesn’t give a shit.
I’d say the problem is very much with him. He’s clearly got some temperament issues and an ego that doesn’t really handle things well when footballing life is not a bed of roses for him. He needs to sort that out.

I dont agree on Gray. He was playing out of position in roles where he isn't a specialist. He must know he's a rotation option he's never going to be a starter over established specialists.
Sure. But I still think that it could be expected that he'd earned some minutes off the bench at least to ease him into his main position.
Instead he was almost dropped completely and has only really returned to playing now at season's end.

Reckon he was better at LB or RB last season?
Might be one we should cash in on whilst he has some value , yes he had an uptick for a 6/7 games but after that he reverted to type . Again hard to know because the whole squad had checked out but I think if we got offered decent money we should sell and replace .
