Match Man Utd vs Tottenham Hotspur | Sunday 29 September | Old Trafford

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Feels like a free hit tbh, they've had a ropy start similar to us, I think most of us are probably in a position where we would happily take the draw if offered ahead of time, even though I do see this as winnable Utd under ETH do seem to have a knack for grinding out servicable results at home even against decent opponents, albeit in paint-dryingly dull fashion, however we made them look very shit both home and away last season and they were rather spared their blushes at OT in my opinion, I'd be disappointed but not crushed if we lose but I have this weird feeling things are about to start clicking, Kulu seems to be reinventing himself, Solanke is starting to integrate, I feel like of all the traditional big clubs this is our most winnable away fixture. Would be nice to start repairing Ange's top 8 away record with a win here!

This is one of the key games on my season calendar.
Beat this fucking lot and I’m a happy chap for several weeks.
Horrible red scum fuckers.
Horrible entitled fan base.
Just win this Spurs.

Definitely wasn't a free hit in my mind until we had to play 90 odd minutes with 10 men tonight.

Nah.... Fuck all that.... Tweak the training intensity for the next couple of days....

Porro, Romero, Bentancur, Maddison will all be fresh.
Johnson only played 45 mins; as did Kulu.
Bring Spence on for Udogie after an hour or so for fresh legs.

Tonight wasn't ideal; but we should still go up there hungry for points.

Postecoglu needs to start getting results against the sides in and around us. If you can't beat better teams you'll be getting nowhere come the end of the season.

Stop Fernandez and Rashford and we win the game. The only way they can hurt us is one of those 2 on the counter. Concentration and marking at the back will be the key.

Ange should keep 1 of Udogie or Porro back at all times to deal with the counter. With Deki in midfield now, there is no need for both full back high up the pitch at the same time.

Given calendar and suspensions - one from VDV and Udogie needs to be rotated for this game. Otherwise we risk having them play 5 full games in like 2 weeks (Brentford, qarabag, manutd, Ferencvaros, Brighton) Personally i would rest Udogie and play Spence, so VDV can rest against Ferencvaros. Not perfect, but due to their playing style i'm really worried about them if they can't get rest.

Vicario
Porro - Romero - van de Ven - Spence
Kulusevski - Bissouma - Maddison
Johnson - Solanke - Son
Agreed with the above that Spence should probably start this one. Got to keep these squad players match fit and without EL to do that for Spence, only sort of leaves the league right now.

I reckon Ange probably goes with Bentancur as he was given some rest yesterday - but I think Bissoumas skillset is much better suited for this game.

Regardless of their form, OT is never easy for us. They'll raise their game considerably and still have players dangerous enough to cause us problems. But we should also be causing them loads. Could be a high scoring game like last season tbh.

I think we may see a score draw. Perhaps a 2-2 again. Win would be huge.

I don't know what to expect. I think it's inevitable that we give up chances with how we play. Hopefully, we go to blitz them and score a couple in the first 30 minutes, end up winning 2-3.

We have played two, top ten sides and lost both, narrowly. This game and the Brighton game should let us know where we are at with Ange. Hopefully we can keep up our winning momentum.

It feels like this and Brighton next week are pivotal to our league season. We have to start winning against half decent opposition and away from home in general. Grab 4 pts and the season is looking a lot healthier. Lose both and its 7 pts from 7 games and our worst start to a season since Juande Ramos. Certainly not a free hit, we need points.

No such thing as a free hit. This isn't Fergie-era United anymore, Old Trafford is still a tricky place to go but it's no longer an impossible place to go.

If we want European nights again next season we need to be finishing above this mob, and putting them in their place.

Why on earth would this be a free hit ?

Anyone that thinks that can fuck off

Every game is a must-win and no game is a free hit.

Another perfect opportunity to stress test the squad and system after playing a long game with 10 men and players needing to play longer than planned.

Udogie will start for sure but needs to come off at 60min for Spence whatever IMO. Porro being rested is great news because he loves playing UTD.

Maddison rested is huge as well. Should mean we don't lose any intensity in the press, especially with Kulusevski only playing 45mins.

Son is the only question mark imo.

Tough game against the Premier League champions* - think we will lose to silence all the Postecoglou haters

*2012-13 season

P.S. is it lose or loose - I don't know, I only got a C in A-Level English
