I genuinely think the comic persona overshadowed what a generational unique footballer he was. I wish he could be judged purely on ability because he was a world breaker.

Majestic talent. Troubled for sure but the genius amidst us often are.
The only time I ever felt a hint of religion was to say a little prayer for him when he went full Tonto over that murderer Moat.
Outside of football he’s has a very sad life, mostly self induced.
But you can’t help but love him and hope he finds peace somehow.
