Something is clearly very amiss with our scouting structure and has been for some time. The last top level signing we made was Son fives years ago. The focus is always on spend but look at the capital we have wasted:

Sissoko £30 million
Aurier £22 million
Ndombele £52 million
None of who are good enough.
The jury is still out on Lo Celso and Seggesson but given the outlay we need some sort of return on investment for the first team which we haven’t got from them. Only Bergwin has produced something from the start.
The focus will inevitably be on Jose and Levy but this is the number one area on concern because we will do nothing until this addressed.
