Redknapp Court Case

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Couldn't see any threads relating to this which is odd as it starts in about 3 hours.

Personally I can't see him not being found guilty. Having read the various "leaks" online a couple of months ago it looks fairly straight forward to me. Add to that the HMRC don't usually go this far without being confident of a conviction and lets be honest, we all know it happened just like bungs always "used" to happen.

So, when/if he's found guilty what happens next? I'd be surprised if he was given a custodial sentence unless it's not his first offense but I'm sure if it wasn't we would've heard about it. More than likely it'll be a large fine and suspended sentence but what about his job at spurs?

I have a feeling now the club no longer have to answer to the city a guilty verdict would be good for us. It would be the perfect excuse for the FA not to offer him the England job, which is something I'm sure they don't want to do anyway but they don't have any other option at the moment and Levy wouldn't get rid of him considering the current situation at the club.

So, as I sit here waiting to read the twitter updates from inside the court, I'm hoping for a guilty verdict.

Of course I could be wrong and if he's found guilty he'll be given 6 months or something and we'll be royally fucked.

Can't Harry just say it was all unintentional, as he was off balance...? That seems to get you off most things at the moment?

IF Harry goes down, this will have major implications to our season... any chance someone from Man City/Chelsea/ArseAnal are transferring funds as we speak to MAKE sure he gets as stiff a penalty as possible??

it would impact our season and future in general if he was given a sentence big enough to warrant no longer working for the club, or if ENIC felt they had to remove him because of the verdict. I can't realistically think of a replacement that could be brought in but I'd like to think Levy and the board have a back up plan or Mr Lewis is sending the funds to make sure HR gets off.

Would levy keep the coaching staff the same if Redknapp did get sent down?

I can't see Bond or Jordan installing him with confidence - nor Clive Allen or Tim Sherwood. However, I guess one of them would have to step up - Kevin Bond presumably.

What is David Pleat doing at the club? Scouting role? Any reports of him going to any games recently?

I hope he gets found guilty, no prison sentence but enough to put the FA off, but maybe forgetting about it by the time the next European Championships come around - if he is still well enough.

I think we need another season of Redknapp in charge

I have an image of Harry telling the judge, 'I ain't a wheeler-dealer, I'm a facking football manager, fack off.' Before storming out of court.

Only a custodial sentence will force ENIC to remove him and I can't see him getting more than a hefty fine and a suspended sentence.

im taking small comfort from the fact that theres not much talk about it. they let vodafone off, its open season on hmrc, the cunts will screw the little man, then bend over for the waded thieving cunts who steal billions upon billions.

That would be just bloody typical of Tottenham, to be near the summit on merit but then matters outside of our control mess it all up!

I bet the spammers are paying somebody a bung as we speak.

I kinda want Joe Jordan to be our manager. Just imagine if Harry wasn't here... :nawty:

trying to think of possible replacements if the worse did happen. None really fill me with excitement. There are those like Martinez who I rate but can't see a "for the future" appointment installing confidence in players that want to be at the top level. We'd ideally want a big name to help us keep the momentum going and keep our better players happy. I just have no idea who that could be.

never thought I'd say this because I'm not the mans biggest fan (him, not the job he's doing), but the longer he can stay at the club the better. The FA can fuck off.

there is no question, arry's in it for himself, but he's turned us around from a bit of a joke, to one of the top teams, and the best to watch. dodgy as fuck but levy is smart enough to not let him stitch us up.

Gulity verdict = bye bye England Job...

so he would be stuck with us.

Reckon Levy would like a guilty verdict but no custodial as a fine would allow Redknapp to carry on etc. and he will not spend the summer trying to screw over the FA in compensation and forget about vital transfer business...i.e getting shot of Bentley and Jenas PERMANENTLY.

going off subject a bit but correct me if I'm wrong, isn't Jenas out of contract in the summer so he's gone anyway.

agree with Levy wanting a guilty verdict with no prison time though.
