A tricky little tie in the Arctic Circle on a plastic pitch in front of fans who wield giant yellow toothbrushes to intimidate their opponents.

Very Viking.

Here's a link to their home game against Porto to give you a feel of what to expect:

And for those who haven't seen it, a fascinating documentary on them and their ground:

COYS!

Cheers for the links, thinky. Would love to see your calls for Odobert at 10 made flesh.

Love the atmosphere at Bodo's stadium, proper small-ground community feel with relentless vocal support. Think we're allowed 400 away supporters and bang up for an end-to-end contest.

We must go there looking for a win - they will score.

What I expect we'll see:

Vicario

Porro

Yeah, just over 400, apparently.

Adds to the trickiness of the fixture, but fully expect them to make tons of noise.

Can always count on our away fans.

Hardcore.

Great respect for the fans making this trip to Norway , only 404 tickets available and 512 ticketing points needed to get one.
There are 437 fans on 500 to 600+ points in the ticketing table so a high proportion of those are going , players had better turn up for this one the fans have.

Cheers for the links and also agree Odobert or even Moore at the 10 might not be as mental as some make out.

We will need a technical player in the middle who can keep us playing football.

Expecting this from Ange

Vicario

Porro Romero VDV Udogie

Bissouma Bentancur
Kulusevski

Johnson Solanke Richy

But I’d start Tel

Rain and about 7/8 degrees forecast for Thursday evening in Bodo, should be better than the last trip to the Arctic Circle.

If we get to the luxury of 3-up again,it must be close shop. Compact, tight and disciplined.

Much as it is tricky for us, let's not forget it is even more of a task for Bodo

2 goals to claw back and a superior team. We have more than enough quality to score at least 1.

I wouldn't even be that surprised if Postecoglou doesn't instruct us to aim for 2 goals, on the basis Bodo won't get 4 past us. I woupd actually make him right..... just.

Can see them winning this one 2 1 with it being a nervy end to the game.

There will be something that goes hugely against us during the game obviously. No game like this where we are involved ever goes smoothly or without drama.

As always the second goal will be important on the basis Bodo will score in the first 15. If they get it, our season is done but if we get it, we will go through comfortably. I think the game finishes 1-1 and we go through.

I'm expecting the same plan as Eintracht away.
Play more direct, go to a back 5 if we are still defending a lead at the end.

Keep it compact for the first 20 minutes. They will want to start fast. Use skull duggery tactics and slow the game down if necessary.
I'd like us to still carry a threat going forward. We will need to score minimum 1 goal there.

I'd like us to play double pivot instead of single pivot. Kulusevski for Johnson to hold the ball up better. Tel because he will have a go at the defender but only reckon he will get 45-60 mins. Need some pace on the break so just shades it over Richarlison. Not sure on fitness of Son but I think he can be dangerous off the bench.

I'd go for this team if Maddison is fit.
