True but I think most players know they need to be prepared to play for multiple types of manager with different systems - the average tenure of a PL manager might be 2 years, whereas most player contracts are for 5 years.
The key thing is PL is faster and harder than most other european leagues (and generally higher paid other than a few clubs such as Real, Barcelona, PSG et al) which players should know and be prepared for which I think Ndomble wanted high pay but not the hard work from day one.
Of course its not one sided, Spurs need to do their due diligence on players and manager telling them it'll be hard work - but its not fool proof, I recall Chelsea recruiting Winston Bogarde 30 years ago who only made a handful of appearances over 3 years as the original 'nightmare signing' and reputedly lived in a caravan having confused Chelsea and Wham !
Incidentally Bogarde released a statement which included at the end 'This world is about money, so when you are offered those millions you take them. Few people will ever earn so many. I am one of the few fortunates who do. I may be one of the worst buys in the history of the Premiership, but I don't care.
This might sum up a few players attitudes ?
