The Problems at Spurs

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

You miss my point, Spurs are one of the things we are meant to enjoy, I've been through enough shit in life to gain perspective on it and agonising about things that you can do fuck all about is wasted effort in my opinion...

Yep. Its not just agonising though, I wouldn't mind so much if people were agonising. They're not, they're just knee-jerk, type in a second, criticising.

As if, just for example, telling everyone that 'Dier is complete shit and must be thick', in their opinion, every time the lad misplaces a pass, helps anyone at all in any way whatsoever.

I dunno, maybe I'm being too harsh; I'm tempted to 'stop going online' like SouthCoast but then again I like most people on here most of the time........

Perspective is a big part of it I think. I love our club and have supported them long enough to see some great times and some really shit but at the end of the day its football.
Perhaps that's being a bit older, having a family, moving away where I'm not surrounded by Spurs or Woolwich fans but when I get frustrated after the result I don't bother reading online, don't get into pointless arguments about the whys and wherefores and just accept it for what it is.
If we get beat, I don't bother coming here for a day or two either...no point wading through all the bullshit...

Last 4 posts are excellent.

Be wary though of not seeing that venting as some people do is not just that.

I am sure the majority of those contributors, some who do go a bit too far do also have perspective in abundance.

Keegan jumped up and down and Eriksson didn't for example. Did not mean one cared more than the other or that they did not both have perspective.

During the 90 minutes or so many people invest their all. That's life.

I agree with you about people investing their all, especially during the game. I find it difficult to pin the blame on one individual though because its a team game and players have off days.

Its when it carries on for day after day that I have a problem. Or when some posters seem to appear after a defeat or bad news to revel in the woe.

We are a fantastic young team with a great young coach. On our day we can beat anyone and over the course of the season we will do really well but might not always play at our best.

We have long said we should be able to win when not playing at our best (as the best teams have always done) and we did at the start of the season but then its seen by some as not being good enough because we are winning but not tearing teams apart.

Best EPL start points-wise is meaningless then, yeh? All whilst universally accepted as being below par....

Now whats that old cliche a out winning when playinh badly?

Nah that only counts if you're invited to the Sky love in.

Hows things going for your hero Maureen, btw...? Sheer inspiration as always.

As for Trophies.... In case you hadn't noticed we won a cup tie last night. Meanwhile darlings Liverpool and your boy's rabble have one less trophy to "CONTEND" for already.

Bore off.
Great post....

So true about everyone else being in title winning form by winning when playing poorly, but for Spurs it’s just not good enough.

I’m pretty sure some people still think two draws is better than one win and one defeat.
