One of my uncles (a Derryman-cum-Dubliner) didn’t rate Keane, even though he’s Ireland’s top international scorer (for now level on international goals with Kane).

His stock couldn't be lower in Ireland right now, he took a salary from a cash strapped FAI despite not working for them, was even brought up in the Dáil and he was asked to refund the money to grass roots Irish football but he said no. All the while, he was on TV saying how much he wants to develop the sport at grassroots.

Fucking shame as he was my favourite player and loved the fact the Spurs captain was also the Ireland captain.
