Tricky balancing act between resting players and keeping them 'match fit' for the next 14 days until final - too long not to play or they'll be 'rusty' to start final On the other hand a rest and avoiding injury is also a valid concern

Next match in 4 days so they have some recovery time before Palace then dates are: Palace (H) Sun 11 May, Villa (A) 16 May final v ManU Wed 21 May.

I think half the starting X1 plays in each of Palace match and Villa match, with possibility of subs for the starting X1, as I think a break of 14 days from tonight to finals match is too long not to play a match so we can't rest the entire team for 14 days, they'll just look a bit rusty.

The advantage of rotation is to give players who didn't play tonight playing minutes which might allow one or two to get into starting X1 or become a pre-planned subs. And its certainly true we need to give run outs to the likes of Odobert and Moore who could help the creativity of the team whether as starters or subs in final.

The likes of Danso, Spence and Gray need some playing minutes - could become very important players if any of our preferred starting X1 are injured whether in one of the PL matches ... or indeed in training where injuries also occur. No reason not to give Ajayi and Olusesi a 15 mins or so run out too - particularly Ajayi so he's an option if we need a last minute goal or someone to run at ManIU in final as we don't have too many options to do that, other than maybe Odobert,

So against Palace, half our starting X1 (some subbed in match) and half those who didn't play tonight

And against Villa, the other half of starting X1 (some subbed in match) and half the team who didn't play tonight.

Tricky thing is it would be a mistake not to play the likes of Romero, Porro, VDV for two weeks. We saw how sluggish some of the lads looked during the CL final after three weeks not playing.
