Club What does Luton Town mean to you (if anything)

Latest Spurs videos from Sky Sports

Lived in Dunstable for a while... Drove past Kenilworth Road regularly...

Always meant to go to a game, but never got round to it...
Then again, it DID coincide with us being absolute toilet ourselves, so didn't really wanna inflict any MORE misery by infiltrating someone else's home end!

Not my "2nd team" by any means, but I keep an eye out for them occasionally.

That ground is a disgrace tbh. Have to walk over someone's garden or something to get in away end. They used to have a big clock to try and sort of cover one of their shit ends they had. Imagine if luton played palace in 2 legged cup match. Two dreadful grounds.

Luton were one of 4 clubs to install a plastic pitch in the 1980's. The other 3 were QPR, Oldham and Preston.
The following is from Wikipedia:

"In 1981, London football club Queens Park Rangers dug up its grass pitch and installed an artificial one. Others followed, and by the mid-1980s there were four artificial surfaces in operation in the English league. They soon became a national joke: the ball pinged round like it was made of rubber, the players kept losing their footing, and anyone who fell over risked carpet burns. Unsurprisingly, fans complained that the football was awful to watch and, one by one, the clubs returned to natural grass."

Mate and I went to see us play there in '81 - Paul Price Testimonial.
He got stabbed after the game, when were surrounded by some of their lot on our way back to the station.
Didn't even realise he'd been knifed until we got back to Turnpike Lane.
