I was thinking this a lot - so I thought I'd post about it...

Due to our wide range of our ages I'm quite interested in your response - or you can call it cringe :D

Here's mine :-

Why? Because we had already won the league by then & to see Spurs play Wembley in that era of history (where the FA Cup reports were played in some Cinemas!) to lift the FA Cup, knowing it was our double? it would've be amazing to see us lift it!

I also own a replica of their shirt...

Would love to have seen the club win the league (as this was going to be for the clubs last time), and to have followed it up with the cup double delight.
Club was at, the pinnacle of English football, nowadays has managed to avoid relegation 😁

I thought I would quite fancy seeing us playing the great Benfica side at the Lane in the 1962 European Cup semi final. Eusebio v Greaves. Standing on the shelf. Would be amazing I’m sure.

But then I realised they didn’t sell pizza or have beer glasses that filled from the bottom at the Lane back then so will probably give it a miss.

Can I choose a game 69 years in the future instead??

Agree with Nutter

63 Cup Winners Cup.

Best for any of the younger ones in my view should be the 84 UEFA Cup. Can’t beat winning European Trophy at own ground. Ajax away was great night, but still doesn’t get close to winning against Anderlecht.
Luckily was there, and also for the Wolves 72 one, even if I can’t really remember it

UEFA cup winners cup 1963.

First British Club to win a European Trophy.

That can never be taken away from us.
I would tend to agree with this... back then we got a first round bye, beat Rangers in the second round, Slovan Bratislava in the quarters and OFK Beograd in the semis before smashing Atlético Madrid 5-1 in the final... where I am a bit unsure is that final was played in Rotterdam and I would prefer a game at the old White Hart Lane. Plus not sure what the away support was like back then... doubt it was like it is today... so for me, I'm going for the game that clinched the 1960-61 league title - a 2-1 victory over Sheff Wed (our nearest rivals) on April 17, 1961. 61,205 in attendance as Les Allen and Bobby Smith get the goals to clinch the title... those were the days!!!

That pretty much nails it for many people, but sadly I was 8 years old at the time, so I need to think a bit.

Could argue the FA Cup in '61 was the pinnacle of Spurs. First team to win the double since the 19th century. And, IIRC, Nicholson called it the year before.

Well just to throw something different in, I am choosing 1885 - our first competitive game, a 5-2 win over St Albans (my neck of the woods) in the London association cup - would turn up with my boots and a wad full of cash and see if I could buy 15 mins of game time
