Transfer targets Pochettino and Spurs should consider bringing in this summer

With the days ticking down to the end of the transfer window, Premier League clubs are working frantically in a bid to strengthen their squads ahead of the new campaign.

It’s no secret that Spurs signed nobody in last year’s summer window but Levy has promised that funds will be made available for the right player- demonstrated by the capture of highly-rated Tanguy Ndombele from Lyon.

But who else should Tottenham consider to sign as they look to push on and improve on last season’s performance? As Spurs look to kick on in their home, here’s just a few targets Poch and Levy should consider:

Frank Kessie

Kessie is a 22-year-old central midfielder who plies his trade in Italy currently with AC Milan. He has also earned international recognition and has represented the Ivory Cost nearly 30 times after making his debut in 2014.

Kessie is the type of player Poch loves and he would fit right in to the current Spurs midfield. The Ivorian is strong, powerful and is renowned for his range of passing. Although his best position is probably centre mid he can also play the defensive midfielder role, making him a versatile asset.

Caros Soler

Currently playing for Valencia in La Liga, the 22-year old has earned rave reviews over the past few seasons. He has been called up to represent Spain’s U21 side over a dozen times and has even been called up to the first team but is yet to make his debut.

Given his progress so far and his young age, Soler is likely to be valued at around £30m but in today’s market that’s a snip for an attacking player with bags of potential.

The only hurdle may be is that Valencia is Soler’s boyhood club so it would take a big offer to pry him away from Spain.

Thomas Strakosha

Strakoshka is a 24-year-old keeper who currently turns out for Lazio in Serie A. He’s also an integral part of the Albanian national team, making eight appearances for his national side since he was first called up in March 2017.

With only Hugo Lloris as Spurs’ reliable option in goal, bringing in another keeper this summer is high on the list of transfer targets for Levy and Potch.

Strakosha’s market value is affordable too and he’s expected to move for a fee in the region of £20m.
